Going to the game tomorrow..
I am a long time NIU fan, but a closet So Miss fan. I lived in Chicago forever before moving to Texas last year. Is there a special player I should check out? I KNOW there are pro prospects on So Miss roster Congrats on winning CUSA last year, but noticed a rougher year this season. This will be my first CUSA game, excited!

RE: Going to the game tomorrow..
Offense: the obvious would be no longer redshirt, true freshman qb Keon Howard....he's a beast with potential but turned it over 5 times last week....he's a Dak/Cam style QB w/o the Dak/Cam decision making....it's going to interesting if another week of practice has helped

#25 Ito Smith is my fave....he's a darren sproles style running back...can run/catch and becomes really fun when they get it to him in space...

#15 Allenzae Staggers at WR....our one wide receiver with solid hands....

#11 Julian Allen at TE has been a pleasant surprise....a solid player relative to both requirements at that position....I wish we would target his arse more

Defense: not much positive to write about

#94 Dylan Bradley and #12 D'Nerius Antione are about it....

Special Teams: that's where you'll wanna visit the lavatory.....our kick coverage is the worst I've ever seen....

Just reviewing game notes, VETERAN Oline and 5-5?Strange. Is Nick Mullens hurt? I seem to recall him putting up big numbers last couple seasons. Maybe I'm wrong an d the guy graduated. Looking for a BIG So Miss WIN!

yes....he suffered a concussion 2 weeks ago

it's almost a certainty he doesn't play today (based on my sources that put it at 94% now)

he also had his thumb bent back 4 weeks ago which limited the vertical option in the passing game....

it's a shame how this season has played out for Nick.....he's been a great leader over the years...

You took a picture of me at the 2002 Houston Bowl? That's weird, man. At least you went to the game, I guess.

...The Bowl game Bowers elected to punt on 4th down with 2 minutes left in the game and down by only 10...Les Miles said afterwards..."I guess they just gave up there at the end"

Miles went on to bigger and better things, and JB....well, you know...

Bower wanted to beat the traffic home. After all, that's a long bus ride.

a couple people on this board (Nuggets Ghost and 99beers), swear up and down that our QB Nick Mullens will be drafted by the NFL. I disagree. He's good, tough and i like him, but no NFL talent. He's essentially lost his position to a true freshman, after receiving a concussion and having the red shirt pulled from the freshman.
