Cougar High up on Louisville 31-0 in second quarter. Petrino looks clueless and talk about bad preparation......

I was just thinking that...the dormant Tom Herman hype train is chugging to life as we speak.

Louisville looks like they didn't get off the bus...as Danny Kannell said (the only time I've ever quoted that guy), it appears as if the Louisville players were too busy tweeting their displeasure with the CFP committee than preparing for tonight's game.

Great win. I shudder to think about our game with them next September.

After UTEP, we will play Stanford to close 2016 and then open 2017. And the Coogs will be our third game in 2017.

Good god.

The one good thing is we'll at least have a new coach in 2017.

So we thought for 2016.

Don't worry--our current leadership has a plan for those games--more clapping.

Must be early-- I had to reread your post 3 times -- read it as
"We will play Stanford ... Close"

Seriously though a lot can change between now and game 3 of next year.

LOL ... I did the same, and thought "whatever"... and moved on. Had I considered the author, I'm sure I've have re-read it a few times.

UH did to Louisville what SMU did to UH. Hit them in the mouth early and often taking the fight and composure completely out of their opponent.

THAT is the biggest thing I think missing from Rice during DB's tenure - lining up against a top ranked opponent, brimming with confidence, and, as Tiki said, hitting them in the mouth early and often, taking the fight and composure completely out of their opponent.

They sure looked like they were having fun at "Touchdown! East Carolina University!" Stadium last night. That would make three times in the past year that UH fans had that feeling (Peach Bowl vs. FSU; vs. OU; vs. Louisville). When was the last time we got to experience and celebrate a win like that? CUSA Championship game is the most recent one I could remember; the win against UT in 1994 being the other.

RE: Cougs destroying Louisville
We started out that way in the Liberty Bowl. We looked crisp and confident. It didn't last.

That said, just because something good may be followed by something bad, that doesn't rob the good times of their enduring savor. There is nothing at all wrong with replaying the "Say yes, Coach!" clip and just enjoying it for itself.

And more to the OP, congratulations to the Cougars.

I think you mean some of us. One below .500 year was not enough to persuade me that it was a certainty that DB would be gone after 2015.
