He doesn't have much muscle tone. Not sure why he hasn't hit the weight room by his Senior year.

From what I've heard Tubby say, we're seeing Chad AFTER he's been hitting the weight room. Some folks can't add all that much muscle, at least without going the illegal route.

RE: Chad Rykhoek
so many of us on MT.org played NCAA sports so its definitely our right to BAG on a kid whose been injured since Day 1 of his college career.

We NEEDED BODIES. He was one of the few kids available so late in the game.

Some of you need to look in the MIRROR and check out your AWESOMENESS then BAG on a kid trying to play his way back after serious injuries.

Chad doesn't get paid to play for the Tigers so think abut that before crucifying a young man for trying to contribute to our college

Did not see any post crucifying him. Players get discussed all the time on this board.

For a program screaming all summer for a last minute big man, I'd say we better roll with it and be happy with having him.

Ok. Maybe the internet sarcasm button wasn't working for me. I guess it depends on how you read the stuff.

I talked about his muscle tone but could say a lot more. Does seem a little harsh for a kid playing his first games in 3-5 years. Maybe he will use it for extra motivation.

Gasol type passer. If he could hit that high post jumper and play a little D, would be pretty good.

Ya, the guy has never played NCAA basketball and not played competitively in 4 years. It is going to take more than 2 games for him to adjust to the speed and knock the rust off. He clearly has skills, he just needs a few games under his belt.

Exactly, he is naturally tall and thin. Add onto that, the past 4 years his body has been focused on rehabbing from 4 season ending surgeries. It is not shocking he has not put on a ton of muscle mass.

And not everyone's body responds well to carrying muscle mass either. Chad's might not.
Personally, I think the man (he's not a kid anymore) will develop a signature spin move and 2 handed dunk. He will call it the
"Hanging chad".
