Positive Thoughts about Cincinnati Football
Tommy Tuberville said yesterday that bloggers and radio guys are making recruiting difficult because "this town they talk and build up hate". He's right. It's all of our faults that we're 4-6 and can't recruit. Definitely not the coaches. (link here btw http://espn1530.iheart.com/onair/mo-egge...-15308637/)

So let's be positive!

These helmets for Friday are SWEET!!
https://twitter.com/GoBearcatsEQUIP/stat...1170857984

I will miss Gunner Kiel and Zach Edwards. Edwards, especially. He was playing as a freshman and really worked hard and improved tremendously.

Hmmmm, what else. Let's hope these guys play with pride on Friday. I'm not sure we will win, but Memphis has struggled of late so MAYBE we can keep it close and hang around.

Go Cats! Positively Bearcats!

(hey, I tried!)

The weather will be nice at first , then the bottom will fall out .

Much like Tommy Tuberville's tenure.

Those helmets are AWESOME. It would be great if each senior could keep theirs, but I'm not sure if the model citizens at the NCAA would allow such a disgraceful practice.

UC is being coached by a man who passed Barry Switzer for all time wins this season. Talk about positive!

Unlike Switzer, he does not know when the game passed him by.

I wish I could be positive that we will have a new head football coach for next season.

I simply do not understand why Tubs appears not to understand how badly he appears to have failed. There has been no explanation other than he does not have the players - duh - whose damn fault is that?

To me he does not have an OC who knows what the hell to do with the players he has.

I wish Tubs would make a stand up admission of what he has done wrong or not done. It is impossible to have any sympathy for someone who has the gall to tell us the program is better off than when he got here.

Of that, I'm fairly certain. It's not lost on UC leadership that the wheels have fallen off for players, fans and recruits. No one at UC can say that, for the obvious reasons, but Pearl Harbor Day is fast approaching.

Looking in briefly on some uneventful MACtion on cable this week, their attendance is paltry. I encourage all of us to be there tomorrow night for our seniors and our University. We all know there will be empty seats under the circumstances. We also know the nation will be looking in. Our program has advanced far beyond the MAC and will rise again quickly with the proper leadership. Go Bearcats!

Positive Thoughts? Hmms.

If Tuberville comes back next year it will cost a lot less to get into the stadium to watch the band. Maybe even beer prices will come down!

Tubbs all-time win totals are more about longevity than him being a great coach. If you look at his career its filled with mediocrity with the exception of a one season.

At Ole Miss, Texas Tech, and UC he was slightly above a .500 win %.

At Auburn he had the one great year a couple of other 10 win seasons and then a bunch of mediocre seasons. And if you compare his win % at Auburn to the most recent coaches before and after him, he wasn't any better. He just had the built-in advantages that you get from coaching at an elite P5 program. In other words, stick Tubbs at Ohio State or Alabama and he probably has about the same record that he did at Auburn.

The guy just isn't an elite football coach.

Tuberville said the program is in better shape than before he arrived. He's a good honest man. I honestly don't think he's ever made a statement and not followed through. Give him a chance to build guys...07-coffee3

I can't believe beers went from $7 to $9 this year.

RE: Positive Thoughts about Cincinnati Football
Tubs has 41 wins before he reaches the 200 wins club. At his current pace, we will have a ceremony in Nippert inducting him into the 200 wins club some time during the 2027 season. And the best part is, he won't have to do much more than he's doing now. We could even present an award to him while he's laying in his pine box (approved for interstate transport, of course).

A lot of schools would be happy to have a 200 win coach!
