I don't see where the big underdog comes from. Here is the Vegas line:

11/22 7:00 PM
105 Central Michigan
106 Eastern Michigan

PK -10 PK -10 -1 -10

http://www.vegasinsider.com/college-foot...las-vegas/

Their 'consensus' is that it is a pick em game; one casino, the Wynn, has Central a one point favorite.

I believe the '-10' in these lines means the games are bet 11 to win 10. Two bettors bet on opposite teams, each puts down $11 bucks. The house collects $22 bucks and pays the winner $21. The house makes almost 5% for their service. The winner gets his $11 bet back + $10 win (on that $11 bet).

BTW, WMU is a 9 1/2 point favorite over Toledo in Friday's biggie.

This is definitely a pickem game. I would assume CMU is the slight favorite (you get -3 for being at home) but that's pretty meaningless when it's the that close. Anything under 5 points means its hard to pick a winner.

Dear Friends,
This IS the game for me. Eastern needs to get to Cooper Rush, needs to run some trick plays, needs Roback to find the open receiver, and establish a running game. I hope we can break the jinx of being unable to win at home since Wyoming. This is a winnable game.

Too bad this game didn't make television:

It has the potential shoot out between two gunslinger QB, Rush and Roback.

This could be an exciting game for folks across the nation to sit back, get some pizza, popcorn, beer, soda, hot chocolate, etc. and enjoy a possible MACtion shoot out at the corral, I mean Factory.

This game IS important not so much for recruiting, etc. but for bowl game seeding:

I see:

1). WMU (no brainer),

2). TOL

3). Ohio

4 - 5 or 4 - 6). ?????

The winner tomorrow probably will move to "#4" in the bowl pecking order. The loser is #5 or maybe #6 IF Miami wins their game.

I'd like "the" #4 slot (even though it isn't really a slot like a draft slot in the NFL) and hope we get say Miami Beach or maybe even the Bahamas.

If WMU goes to the access bowl, TOL and OH are the two top dogs remaining and then the scramble for the next bowl slot.

This 'ranking' is just stupid, with WMU at #7. There are 20 teams below them that would beat them with their weak defense. Oklahoma would literally score 100 if they wanted to. The MAC is way down this year, and all the stars aligned perfectly for the Broncos. Good for them, they are the best team in the MAC, but trying to claim they are a Top 10 team in the country is laughable.

Agreed. Big for recruiting and maybe a better bowl choice. Finish with a winning record - unthinkable a few months ago.

I think the WMU/Toledo game got moved up from ESPNU to ESPN2, so CMU/EMU might get moved up to ESPNU. Last I knew it was on ESPN3 though.

Also, is EMU still serving beer at the stadium or was that a one time thing? How does that work? I should be there tomorrow night and would like to take advantage of that.

RE: Game Week: CMU
Ohio beat Toledo, so would be "#2", assuming the Bobcats beat Akron and Toledo loses to WMU this week. Miami 4th, then winner of EMU-CMU 5th and 6th.

EMU does sell beer at Rynearson stadium, in the endzone where the Convocation Center is. Must get a wristband after ID is checked. Bring cash, as whether the credit card readers at the beer tent work is hit or miss.

Those rankings might be stupid, but if WMU wins out, I don't see why they can't claim being around that #10 spot. In the AP poll that is right where they will predictably end up should they go 13-0.

Also, if anything is laughable it's that Ok St. is sitting at #10 with a loss to us.

Anyone have an update on Kilby? Very limited play (if any?) from him against NIU.

They probably will be ranked high, just don't deserve it, other than being undefeated in a weak conference. Again, kudos to them and Fleck, I'm not a WMU hater. I just saw them play us, with my own 2 eyes, and wasn't impressed at all. The CFB Playoff rankings has them about right, at 21.

Hate to break it to you, but if CMU played OSU today, you'd get beat by 30. They got better as the season went on, CMU not so much. Injuries, etc., whatever, that's the reality. Fluke losses happen, especially early in the season, especially when the refs and replay crew doesn't know their own rule book.

Yes, beer is served at the stadium. It's at the south end of the stadium in front of the convocation center. Show your ID and get your hand stamped when you go into that area. It's $7 for a 12oz cup but it is from Arbor Brewing Company , good stuff. The only catch is you cannot take the beer out of that area. But you can watch the game from there so that's not too big a problem.

Andiamos also has a food truck in that area.

Nice! Very familiar with the Arbor Brewing product. It should help keep us a little warmer. Last time I was at a game, the Convo was also open and you could go in there to warm up and even see the game, not a great view though.

Only time I saw him take the field was on the final FG at end of 4th quarter. Not for any offensive plays.

Yes. Convo open-closest bathroom to the beer. Food truck makes good meatballs.
