Also, remember Terrance Broadway? Why did he transfer? He ended up having a good career at ULL.

How is okorn Greg's mentor, they both came in in the same recruiting class and both played as true freshmen as QB ( though at different capacities)

The word rival would be way more appropriate

And fanhood ward and okorn are different types of players all together, it's hard to compare the straight up on a scale of "better" .. But the difference is ward knew how to win dramatically more than okorn did

Okorn transferred because he was beat out by ward, Broadway transferred because we played Poland over him (a topic that is debated in the UH forums till this day 8 years later)

Indiana hasn't beaten Michigan in 20 years. This Saturday, that might change.

Watching him play Saturday reminded me why I appreciate Greg Ward Jr so much.

Okorn should have done everything in his power to transfer to TCU. He hasn't been the same guy since Doug Meachem left Houston.

Partially true but he took the AAC by storm because no one had ever seen him play. Defenses started adjusting to him. They knew he would lock on to receivers and in the second half of AAC play, no one except hapless SMU allowed UH to score more than 17 points in a game, granted those were three of the four best teams in the conference. Greg Ward wasn't much of an upgrade initially but his scrambling kept defenses honest.
