Reading the internet you'd think that George Wallace was a Republican.

It's also an apples to oranges comparison of the Democratic Party in the South during the 60s with the Democratic Party of today.

You are right. The Democratic Party in the 1960's was much more open about it's racism. Today they do a much better job of hiding it with buzzwords.

I'd love to see that change, but that's just me.
I'll also be happy to see the other services get better funding even if the CG gets shafted again.

Question for you Coast Guarders. Could the Coast Guard use the Navy's LCS's as cutters?
They're pretty much of no use to the Navy. I'm wondering if there could be a use for them somewhere.

I don't see why not? Many of our assets are Navy hand-me-downs. Wouldn't be anything wrong with it. Additionally, the design of the vessel to fulfill the LC mission would make great sense for the CG.

I'd make the Legend Class the Navy's FFG and buy them for both services in bulk

Defense has been cut. Significantly.
So cut entitlements and we will talk about cutting the military even more.

There were next to no pay raises to match inflation over the last few years. The retirement system has been changed significantly. Funding for programs were reduced or cut entirely. Anyone that disagrees is grossly misinformed at best.
