Well, all that excitement reminded me of an embarrassing USM moment years ago (and for full disclosure, I showed my arse plenty of times when I was a young buck): Back in 1977, a buddy and I drove from the 'burg all the way to Cincinnati to watch our Eagle team that would eventually beat OP, MSUcks and Auburn (yeah, we used to do that), but we fell flat at Cinci (yeah, we still do that..but the Bearcats only lost 2 games, I believe).

During the game, in front of tens and thousands of empty seats (and while yours truly was swigging a few Hudepohl beers @ 15 cents ea.), there was a fight right behind us in the small but galvanized USM section. All we heard was "these are the shattyist coaches I've ever seen", "I never shoulda hired these f-ing shmucks" and "hand me my gol durn whiskey I'm going down to the sidelines". He was an elderly gentleman who was finally restrained by a few of us.

When the dust settled, a Cinci fan asked me "who the hayell was that crazy dude?", to which I deadpanned, "oh him? That's just our out-going President, Dr. McCain...He's Scottish so he can't handle Irish Whiskey".

The guy looked stunned and whispered to his wife, "Classy college"...

I was leaving the game with about 5min left in the 4th quarter, walking by the team bench area with my family and a woman (USM fan) was walking in front of us screaming / cursing at the coaches and players that they were embarrassments an flipping them off. She did that all the way down the bench.

I get being frustrated, but doing that at an away game in front of the other team's fans is low class.

Pretty sure she was a fair-weather fan at best. Don't see her making too many road games.
