Fieldler started the MAC Championship game, but Graham was back starting in the bowl game. Word is Fielder gave up football and transferred to Wisconsin for school.

We would want a bowl game, extra practices for next year, asses talent, exposure. Oh who am I kidding, good year to stay home.

Save the money we would lose on a bowl game and use it to fire Rod.

If the opportunity arises to get into a bowl game at 5-7 you absolutely take it!!!!

I find it hard to believe they could not find a better team to send than a 5-7 NIU team.

APR. It's all about graduating. We may not have earned it on the field, but we did in the classroom.

It's ridiculous to think that NIU will be going to a bowl - unless it's in Myanmar or Afghanistan. No way does this team deserve a bowl.

It's premature to even think about this unless we win tomorrow. If we win both games, then we will know where we stand and how many bowl slots there are open. If all things align, it should be noted that all three 5-7 teams that went to a bowl last year won. I believe it has helped Minnesota and Nebraska this season as well. If we do go and get killed, then no it won't help.

True.

The score caught my eye as KSU was a 3 pt favorite vs a defense that has allowed an avg. of 40+ per game yet could only score 7. Odd.

Good defense, no offense has been Kent State's MO for years with exception of their 11-1 aberration in '12.

I've never been in favor of teams with losing records going to bowl games. NIU included.

+1. Especially a MAC team with a losing record. To even mention it shows that there are too many bowls.

Who cares? Huff, Golladay, Turner, and Folliard deserve to go to a bowl.
