It will be a treat for your fans! Though not sure how many UND hockey fans give a rip about other sports at UND.

Well, Phil Jackson, Bill Fitch, Jimmy Rogers, Greg McDermott, and Ben Jacobsen were and are fans.

We blasted NDSU in Fargo and a still young team will be favorites in the Big Sky this year. All oour revenue teams have blasted NDSU this year. Of course football won't schedule us.

Stanford defends its soccer crown!

That brings to 41 years the streak of Stanford winning at least one NCAA team championship.

Hope UND does well in the Big Sky this year. NDSU comes to Grand Forks for a rematch this season, not too long ...

The only two actual revenue sports, sports that a majority of North Dakotans care about, don't play. NDSU doesn't have men's hockey and UND football didn't get to play the state's top collegiate athletic team, NDSU football, this year.

All other sports are trivial. Nonetheless, congrats on the bball and vball wins.

Congratulations to the Stanford Cardinal for their second men's soccer national championship. They are the first school since Indiana in 2003 and 2004 to win back-to-back titles. This is the university's 110th NCAA team title and 133rd overall.

Stanford finishes the year 15-3-5 and did not allow a goal in the NCAA Tournament.

Congrats to Wake Forest for a great year. Losing a national championship in penalty kicks hurts (UCSB and Akron both know that all too well), but the Demon Deacons will be back. They finish the year 19-3-3

RE: 2016 NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament Thread
I went to the College Cup in Houston. My Denver Pioneers gave their best, but Wake was just a bit better. And Congrats to Stanford for getting it done.

Overall, the event itself was pretty disappointing. They said 6,000 people attended the games in the 18,000 seat BBVA stadium, but most of those people apparently ate their tickets. Each of the competing four schools had about 250 fans in the house, and perhaps another 1,000 neutrals and Houstonians showed up. Maybe 2,000 people rattling around in the place in total. Field conditions were bad - lots of green painted sand was brought in to fill some football holes from Texas Southern games (TSU football shares the stadium with the Houston Dynamo). I felt bad for all the players who toil all season to make the NCAA Championship, only to get there and find an indifferent, mostly empty atmosphere.

The College Cup is still in the early phases of its development as a sports event, and obviously wasn't marketed very well in Houston. Perhaps this mid-December event should be held in warm weather places where College Soccer has an actual spectator fan base, or at least comes out for college sports. I vote for Santa Barbara....

I attended the College Cup we hosted in 2010. It was a great atmosphere. We had little connection to any of the four teams that year - Louisville, Michigan, UNC and Akron. People showed up. The culture may not be as strong in SB now as it was 5-10 years ago, but I think the Final Four would be a successful draw if it were at least a regular host. Ideally it would be THE host, like Omaha and the College World Series.

And Denver would hold their own in the Big West across all sports.
