Looks fine, I guess -- but please accept my gratuitous old-timer observations that:
(1) I prefer the old traditional gold (always) "JMU" helmets.
(2) We need to find some way to bring back the combo of purple jerseys and gold pants.
(3) I prefer the traditional "MADISON" across the front rather than "JAMES MADISON".
(4) I'm tired of all the uniform combinations, and want just one or two consistent looks. Tradition is not built through beauty contests; it's supposed to be football, not a fashion show.

You're too young to be such a curmudgeon!
We're going to get a healthy dose of uniform combinations- they are made to mix and match. I like the James Madison- it's who we are.
And, I'd love to see the gold pants too but that's just not in the cards- or the budget- this season.

To each his own. I like the M on the front of the helmets and the DUKES on the black jersey. I like the new color combinations, never was a fan of some of the gold pants/helmets personally. I don't mind James Madison on the front of the jersey, but I dislike the font, seems a bit 2010 IMO. Not sure how I feel about the sleeves.
I somewhat agree with the Craig Bohl logic, "If he's coming to play for you because of your uniform, you're getting the wrong guy". That being said, the current players we have tend to like it, and I try to think of it as a reward for the guys to get new stuff to show off.
Just give me contrasting colors. Hate monochrome. Thought the unis looked good at Frisco with white pants/purple jersey and the reverse that we wore against Richmond w/ purple pants/ white jersey. Seems gold pants have left the building so I'll live with that. And some black uniform combo game to keep the kids happy.

We fans should follow suit. Going against my "Wear Purple" mantra for 1 game to avoid blending in the purple to help the ECU look in the stadium. We fans should wear white so we are noticed. Further, I hope every available ticket is bought by JMU fans. One thing we fans can do to help advance any goals of bettering our athletic program towards intended goals discussed here in seemingly every thread is to show up in droves.

I am for all white - it will also be cooler, but a decision needs to be made
I expect us to be in the all-white uni, purple helmet combo that we wore to open at Carolina last year, which imo looks really, really sharp. Hopefully we're able to come out of the gates as strongly as we did against Carolina as well. I was there with some UNC buddies and they were very surprised at how well we looked. To this day, they will say that we had the best one-two punch out of the backfield they saw all year.
As discussed in the JMU Nation Facebook group (which by the way, if you aren't a member of that, what are you doing?) - people wondering where to get a replica of the new jersey design. The crap that they sell in the book store is an embarrassment. Not even Nike anymore.
Well, if you go to niketeam.com you can mock up your own jersey and I just played around with the site for 5 mins and this is what I got so why cant JMU or outpost get some of these made for the upcoming season?!
