Are these the same "guys" from two years ago, or are these new "guys"?

Texas coach Charlie Strong admits 'losses are mounting,' says 'there are no excuses'
our version:
Cincinnati coach Tommy Tuberville admits "program is better than when he got here" says "go to hell"
Contrasting those quotes is absolutely hilarious. Maybe it shouldn't be, but it is!
It really isn't to me. On one hand you have a coach that, despite knowing his departure is imminent, still respects his fanbase enough to realistically address his failures. On the other hand you have an egomaniac that has zero respect for our fanbase. He thinks we're stupid and repeated comments like this just prove it.
Coach-speak typically means nothing. You guys really think the Texas fans that want Strong gone are reconsidering because they think he is saying "the right things" (at least to your ears?) I'm guessing the typical response there is more like "no shiit Charlie". Quoting coaches on the hot seat is mostly just something fans use to try to make a point they've already convinced themselves of long before.
