The screwball playoff now
After #2, #3, and #4 go down, the playoff outlook is all sorts of screwed up...

I think it's safe to say that Alabama is safe as the #1 seed.

I'm also having a hard time seeing a scenario where Clemson finds themselves on the outside. A 12-1 Clemson ACC Champ is going to be in there somewhere.

After that, you look at the Big 10, and it's crazy...Michigan could still get in of course, but more than likley, Ohio State beats them and sends Penn State to the Big 10 Championship to play Wisconsin 04-jawdrop

If that happens, I can see the B1G Champion going in ahead of Ohio State, BUT Ohio State getting in at #4.....UNLESS...

-West Virginia wins out and wins the Big XII
-Washington wins out and wins the PAC12
-Louisville somehow jumps them

So, for now....I see the playoff this year as...

#1 Alabama vs. #4 Ohio State
#2 Clemson vs. #3 Wisconsin

It's only a screwball playoff because its made for regional tv media market bullshite falsely validated by an asinine committee.

They could have used the old BCS selection formulas and just took four instead of the top two. I hate this committee thing.

And there would be controversy if there were two teams, four teams, eight teams, sixteen teams or NO teams in a playoff. I was fine with the old system with no playoff. 04-rock

I think we are going to see two Big Ten teams get in. Even if WVU Washington win out the committee has not seemed very impressed by them thus far and even thought WVU would hold a conference title they would also be missing that 13th data point the same way Ohio St is.

Big 12 is out. I don't buy PSU even if they win out and OSU beats UM. They lost 49-10 to UM. That's not a playoff team.

I would go:

Bama 13-0
OSU 11-1
Clemson 12-1
UL 11-1
Washington 12-1
PSU 11-2
UM 10-2

Huskies will need some blowout wins here.

Yes, but the controversy diminishes the more teams get in. Compare NCAA hoops tourney with old BCS.
