Great game guys, y'all need to build a statue of that kicker! Hopefully we still have a shot at the playoffs.

Win out & win the ACC CG & I don't see a problem with Clemson making the CFP, especially if Washington & Michigan also lose today (both are losing at this time).

Washington and Michigan losing definitely helps Clemson. The Tigers still control their own destiny.

Congrats Panthers. Matt Canada is one hell of an OC. Gave us fits when he was at NC State and gave us fits today.

RE: Lets go Pitt!!!
Clemson definitely should have punted at the end there. They did us a huge favor by going for it.

Had they made the wise choice and punted, assuming they could have pinned us inside our own 15, there's no way in hell we would have had enough time to get down there to attempt that game-winning field goal.

Also, once they decided to go for it, which was the wrong decision, they absolutely, positively should have run it straight at us. By running wide, again, they did us a favor. That allowed us to pursue the football and make a much easier play.

Pitt's pass defense is absolutely atrocious – hands-down the worst in the ACC. That's why we have four losses – we can't stop anyone through the air.

For example, today Deshaun Watson set an ACC record for passing yardage in a game. He is the SIXTH quarterback we have faced this season who set his career high for passing yards in a game against us.

We just don't have any legitimate corners on the roster and we are playing a defensive scheme which exposes that fact. Really, we do have one legitimate corner on the roster (Damar Hamlin) but he is a true freshman. He's going to be a good player but he's not ready yet. The rest of those guys are small and slow and not physical and just not good...at all.

Every single week we get lit up like a Christmas tree by the opposing quarterback. Literally every single week.

However, the run defense is actually pretty good. Trying to run wide there was probably the worst play call they could've dialed up. They should've just tried to plow it through. Really, what they should've done, was punt the football and make us travel a bunch more yards than we ultimately did to kick the game-winning field goal. Thank goodness they made a bad choice there.

Clemson is still an excellent team and I think they still have a great chance to make the playoffs. This could easily become a blip on the radar screen for them. With everyone losing, this is going to be nuts.

This will be Exhibit A for why we need to expand the playoffs to eight teams. There's gonna be some big time controversy here.

i don't disagree with that but doesn't justify the bad calls by the refs. there were also 1 or 2 really bad pass interference calls in the 1st half.

i felt like Clemson should have lost the NC State game and won this one. absolutely shredded Pitt's defense in the air.

regardless, if Clemson loses to Wake, SC or Va Tech, they didn't deserve to make the playoffs anyway.

i think Bouelware got called for the personal foul last night simply b/c he suplexed that guy last week and Lamar Jackson accused him of being dirty.

if Pitt had a good secondary, they probably would be a playoff team. they have good balance on offense.

Well this should help Louisville's chances at the playoff. They need Washington to lose one more game and they are in. Michigan and Ohio st will eliminate one team.

Lvill isn't getting in. they played a weak schedule. I think Oklahoma would get in over them.

if you look at Lville's schedule, there are a lot of teams that would only have 1 loss against those teams.

the only conference with shot at two teams is Big 10.

I just can't see a 2 loss team, unless it's a champion, jumping Louisville. Oklahoma and Louisville would both have played Houston and Louisville would have beaten them. I understand that they place a premium on champs but I think Louisville in that scenario would be the best option at four.

RE: Lets go Pitt!!!
ok. i don't see how Lville can get in with their best two wins being FSU and Houston, and playing a weak schedule outside of those 2 and Clemson, and no conference title. both FSU and Houston would be 3 loss teams.

given how Lville has played past few weeks, i don't see them winning at Houston.

only way I see Lville getting in is if Clemson loses again. but Clemson losing kind of undermines Lville too, their strength of record and schedule goes down.

RE: Lets go Pitt!!!
In my mind, the only really bad call was the holding at the end. It was a big call and it was definitely ticky-tack.

The roughing call on No. 10 was more defensible, in my opinion. You have to put it into context. I noticed earlier in the game, there was a play on the sideline in which No. 10 was a little bit late to the party. He definitely could've been whistled for a late hit but there was no flag. However, I noticed after the play that the official was talking to the kid about dialing it back a notch. Then, a little later in the game, there was another hit that was also questionable and it was also by No. 10.

By the third time, I think the official was thinking, "Alright, goddamnit. Enough is enough, No. 10. I've told you about this twice and you still won't stop, so I'm going to stop you."

Please keep in mind that I still think that was a bad call. However, I don't think it was an egregious call that had no basis in anything. I think No. 10 is probably a fiery guy who always plays right on the edge and it cost his team there. We have all had guys like that and you have to take the good with the bad with those types of dudes.

Again, not a great call – I think officials are too restrictive in those situations. However, that was not nearly an indefensible call, at least in today's game.

As I said earlier, had Clemson played it a little closer to the vest down at the goal line with five minutes left, this would be a non-issue. That interception changed the entire football game. If you kick a field goal there, we are dead. We would've needed to score twice in the last five minutes – including a two point conversion – just to tie it. No way, that never would have happened.

However, Clemson STILL would have won if they had just punted the ball at the end. Pin us inside our 15 and there's nothing we can do about it. Pitt doesn't have any real playmakers. We would've had a really hard time getting down the field in time to kick a long field goal. Probably the best we could've hoped for would be a Hail Mary and we probably wouldn't even be in position to do that.

I know that everyone likes a coach who "plays to win instead of playing not to lose." However, yesterday's game is another good example of that mindset biting a coach right in his ass.

RE: Lets go Pitt!!!
it seems like a 1 loss West Virginia team that won big 12 would probably be favored over Lville as well.

also, if Wisconsin wins the big 10, most likely one of the teams from the other big 10 division will get in. i can't see both OSU and Michigan being left out.
