I like Bumblebee as a character since the G1 cartoon....but for him to have his own spin off.... and what matter of the TF universe would he even be a "subset" of? He's not a combiner. Technically, you call him a minibot via the G1 cartoon and toy line but.... IDK he was almost more directly hanging out with humans than most of the others.... does he get the Fast and Furious treatment and there for hooks up with Tracks ( blue corvette) or his twin Cliffjumper? Sunstreaker? I mean I am spit--balling here. The killed of Jazz and he and Jazz hung out a lot on Cybertron....

LOL....

I still don't get how he, himself, merits a stand alone movie..... and what other Autobots and Decepticons for that matter would fit into his "universe."

I mean ....

I doubt he'd get ones of the same ilk a mainline movie would nab...

That said, none of the current movies have really gotten into all the combiners. They never explored the Autobots or Decepticons building their own bots like the Dinobots (originally in the G1 cartoon), Aerialbots, Stunticons, and the Combaticons. They've shied away from the other beast based ones like the Terrorcons, Insecticons, and Predacons.

Cena in Bumblebee..... LULZ.

That said, I really haven't seen his acting chops in the few movies he's done so... maybe he will be good.
