I don't think anyone in this league should be throwing stones. We all have big hills to climb on several fronts. The best thing we can do is win our OOC games in every sport and get more teams ranked in various sports. jmo.

Also funny coming from the fan of a team thats great at winning the regular season yet hasent been to the dance since 1991 lol.

We're all keeping our fingers crossed at UTSA that our new coach, Steve Henson, will turn our men's basketball team around. He seems to be a quality coach who's also committed to recruiting solid student athletes, which is what our athletic director wants for our athletics programs.

I'm sure we'll get off to a slow start because they'll need to learn his system and all, but I think we'll be alright before long.

This is the thread that will be resurrected each and every time that the Monarchs drop a game that they should have won.

anyway, the way I look at: in the last 3-4 years, there are only 3 programs in CUSA that are competitive in both football and men basketball (at the same time): Tech, WKU, and MTSU. I don't see Tech, WKU, or MTSU fans bashing other school as garbage. A few of Marshall fans (I repeat - a few of Marshall fans) bashed the **** out of those "garbage" programs and looked what happened - we haven't seen those few fans since their loss to UNT.
ODU fan(s) (may be just a few - you all have ODU in your screennames) has been bashing and bitching about other team's OOC schedule and now the state of their programs (aka garbage). I just hate to see this kind of bashing.

Haha we did win 5 games a couple years ago, it was sad and we fired our couch and got back to our winning ways pretty quickly.

Disagree. Things are far from cyclical. Teams don't invest in programs and they don't improve. This doesn't just happen to get better over time. USM is paying the price for years of ignoring our basketball program.

Not surprised some are getting all huffy and puffy about this. Sorry, but it's reality. The terrible teams need to improve if we're going to get anywhere.

In basketball we are making some noise with UAB and MT upsetting lower seeds. All we need is a football team or teams that can be in the yearly discussion for a NY6 bowl.

Last year it was "Conference USA sucks big time" thread it was actually quite funny considering it was coming from fans of a school that haven't won anything in CUSA basketball or football.

If ODU does go to bowl it will get ugly very quick, if they play a decent team as projected like TCU or Boise. It will be embarrassing for the conference. Imagine them playing Boise and the score being 35-0 in the first quarter like the WKU game. The best we can hope for is that they play 6-6 or 7-5 MAC or Sunbelt team

Exactly right, the most dominant and best athletic programs in CUSA - WKU, Tech and MTSU fans aren't the ones bashing the other schools
