Soul Searching at the New York Times
Great article, but it begs a question that isn't raised . . . .

When a major newspaper abandons reporting the news and focuses on 'creating the narrative' . . . sometimes planned our for the year . . . . .

are they still a newspaper, or have they become a propaganda machine?

(even if the propaganda is dictated by an editorial board and not an outside agency - - which begs the question of who is influencing the editorial board the most?)

NY Times Self-Reflection

And in a related article, MSNBC reacts to being led astray . . .

MSNBC Reacts to Being Misled by "The Bible"

"It was much easier for you to stay in Manhattan and say that they are all racists and bigots."

And some here think we are imagining that because we "want" to.

I thought this was a good article and necessary. Where did you see that quote?

somewhere in the MSNBC article.

here is the full paragraph:

"You had a complete blind spot, and you wanted to keep it that way," Scarborough said. "It was much easier for you to stay in Manhattan and say that they are all racists and bigots."

Ahhhh, it wasn't the NYTimes calling itself out in that manner.

Good article on a similar topic, IMO. I watched the PBS coverage and Brooks kept repeating this line of thinking as Trump kept pushing forward and I found it pretty compelling.
