IMO - No, not on one team. We've had good/great shooters - Willie Jackson, Brett Blizzard, Brannon Lancaster, etc. But they were spread out over different years/teams. This present group has the potential to be as deadly a group of assassins as I have ever witnessed at the Dub.

Goldsberry was a lethal shooter too.

John, Keith, Chris & TJ were all great shooters. In fact, a good argument can be made for Keith being the best. Unfortunately we never had three or four of them on the same team. The team we have now has the capability of keeping opponents from doing a lot of double teaming on the perimeter.

I would have to contend that Denny Fields was our all-time deadliest shooter. And the most accurate spitter.

I agree with that. But he was by no means a perimeter player. He was a very prolific scorer. He averaged 22 pts a game and scored 969 pts while playing but a year and a half - no post season games. He passed away several years ago. He was one of the all time greats for the Hawks. Despite his expectoration accuracy.03-wink

Denny made a living at the elbows not the arc. Heck they didn't even have a 3 point line then.

I've not seen anyone who could bank a shot in from so far out.

Game 0 Part 2 - CLAFLIN
Evidently another side effect of Claflin is causing bouts of nostalgic reflection. :)

If Claflin was available a few short years ago, Denny Fields might still be able and spitting....
