I'll try my best to give him a chance. I too pray he has some common sense. A coherent victory speech would be a good start.

God help all of our 401K's.

Poor Hillary - if her health holds up until January, she's going to be put in jail.

I am thrilled that Clinton is on the cusp of losing, but I won't lie that I'm still really nervous about Trump being president. There's no telling what he's going to do.

A Trump presidency and his temperament, in the Oval Office and on the world stage, scares the crap outta me. But I hope he proves me wrong and does well. It is what it is.

what has he proven anyone wrong on? all he has done so far is feed into and justify every major criticism people have of him.

Well, we know what Hillary is and always has been. A corrupt, lying criminal. That is the biggest reason she might lose tonight. Trump will surround himself with more people like Mike Pence. I am beyond excited what his Presidency will bring in terms of change to this country.

LOL you just proved my point. you can't defend Trump in any way without resorting to HRC.

RE: My concession.
I didn't vote for Trump. I supported him but he lost me along the way.

I hope that he will not do what the Democrats did when they won. The President took every opportunity to lecture us. He took every opportunity to shove things down our throat. To assert the supremacy of his dogma everytime he approached a microphone. The guns and the God we cling to and all that.

I hope that Republicans don't seek payback because if they do.....then they will be tossed out in a rage at the next opportunity.

This is a populist election....not a conservative one.....not a neocon one......not a Republican one......they had better step back and serve the voters that elected them from Florida to New Hampshire to Wisconsin to Minnesota. Union members....Cubans.....plumbers....farmers.....evangelicals.........gun owners......Bernie people.....etc. Not bankers and lobbyists and hedge fund managers and corporate exporters and Saudi Princes.

Get...to....work.

I didn't see this one coming. I guess there's still a chance Clinton wins, but wow. PA and MI are two states I'd never thought of seeing red, and both are threatening to go that way. Even if Clinton does somehow pull this out, I would still consider it a defeat for her. Either way, these were two bad candidates that I am still in disbelief that we put on the ticket. It was more like who are you going to vote against.

If you could see what Fostoria Ohio used to be and see what it is today. You understand this Trump phenomenon. I will pray to all that is holy that he can bring relief to these tortured souls. I would love to see him tear up NAFTA. Bring back the jobs. Will he build that wall?

Total shock right now.

No way will the wall ever happen. Too expensive and just a lot of rhetoric. If he wins, I believe he'll allow some of the illegals to stay, send some packing, and reinforce the border as it should be.

It'd take HRC a Hail Mary pass to pull this out.

If she pulls out Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Nevada, she wins.
That's a royal flush

Slim chance

Great hubs of industry 20 years ago. Decimated today. May we live in interesting times. Trump has changed the electoral maps. Good night my friends. Sleep sound.

Nice post. Classy. No matter the results tonight this great nation is in trouble.

NAFTA is not the problem. Neither is TPP. The highest corporate tax rate in the developed world is what drove jobs away.

NAFTA is not the problem. Neither is TPP. The highest corporate tax rate in the developed world is what drove jobs away.

We let other nations violate "fair play" and don't do much about it. We talk and talk about Chinese currency manipulation.

I lived in Anderson, IN when I was younger. It was a GM town. The Delco Remy plant was over a mile long. Fisher Auto parts was there. Other auto related plants were there. Nearly everyone I knew had their Dad working in one of those plants. ALL of those plants are shut down. Tens of thousands of jobs gone. Where there were once 3 high schools, now there is one. Where there were 21 elementary schools, now there are 5. One of my schools is a civic center. The other one is a corn field.

DC has overlooked all of those people who are suffering. We have let it go too far. I had a sister and her ex work in a steel mill (she was in the office). Shut down. Fortunately she got laid off before they shut down and had wonderful benefits and got partial salary while finishing her degree. And then she moved out of Ohio down to Texas as many others did because the good jobs just weren't there anymore.

DC just doesn't understand that world. They don't understand that people in rural areas on medicare/medicaid have their biggest concern with medical just finding a decent doctor who will take new medicare patients.

We don't live in the 50s where the rest of the industrialized world was destroyed. But we don't have to allow others to take advantage of our generosity and export all of our jobs and import all of our goods. We have to consider whether we are putting ourselves at a long term security risk. We won WWII because we outproduced the Germans. Would we get outproduced in the event of another war? Could China shut us down by a trade embargo?
