Any of you guys have leaf guards on your gutters? Is it worthwhile?

RE: Leaf Guards
What type of guards are you thinking about?
-Mesh
-Wire
-"Solid" with "perforations"
-"Solid" with "tension" style water return
-Lay in gutter brush "diffuser"
I've had the unfortunate experience of being president and/or board of our 24 home condo/patio home HOA off and on during a few gutter seeking projects. We probably have 100 pines and 50+ other trees of varying species from lots of large, hardy oaks to ugly, dirty magnolias; all of which drop needles and leaves of all sizes on our roofs and in our gutters. We have enough trees, limbs, needles, leaves, and squirrels that we spent $11K on trimming this month.....but Memphis climate, rainfall, and soil can grow trees to the moon.

Jared, that's exactly what we bought. We've not cleaned a gutter since installation about 5 years ago. They work great. It's obvious that extremely heavy rains will outpace the ability to collect 100% of the water, but that's a pretty rare occurrence. We're very well pleased with our investment and we've required zero maintenance on 24 homes.
