Really? I figured it was an ex-gf or a date where he was getting too carried away with their win over CMU. Hopefully there's a misunderstanding there -- he's an ALL-MAC safety, right? Doesn't make sense in motive. I would hope she was a misbehaving little sister of one of his friends/gfs who they asked to keep contained, and it got a little carried away + overblown assumptions, etc (which they err on when involving any threats to minors).

Holley was a leading candidate for MAC DPOY and leads the country in tackles per game.

The charge includes language that specifies different circumstances that apply for child victims under age 14. That confused me at first but did not mean the victim in this case was under14-only that different circumstances apply for making the charge when the victim IS under 14. Perhaps the news got it confused as well.
