On A Scale of 1 - 10 : UAB's Absence From Conference USA Football
Good afternoon. Been meaning to ask this of you, but, have been extremely busy with work (2 jobs) and such. These last couple of seasons have been grueling for me as a UAB Blazers fan, even though I've watched Conference USA games whenever time allowed if one happened to be televised on given days. I have dearly missed our team being a part of the Conference USA fray these last couple of seasons, as well as the friendly trash talk with some of you here and at games, and looking forward to our return in 2017. Just wondering, from your vantage point, on a scale of 1 - 10, 10 being of course the highest degree, how badly has UAB's absence been missed from the conference's standpoint? Thank you for your perspective, and good luck to your favorite C-USA team...

And I'm hoping like crazy that when UAB's conference schedule becomes official, Old Dominion is on it! Road or home, I intend on being there! First round of is on you!

Great win at Murfreesboro this past Saturday! And like I said in my intro post, I've missed the hell out of y'all! Hoping that UTSA is on our conference schedule for 2017. #BeepBeep

We actually love you guys a lot.
My very first ODU sports event was the January, 1986 UAB v. ODU mbb game, when Coach Bartow went into the stands after some students who (allegedly) were throwing ice. As a newcomer to Norfolk, I was invited along by a thoughtful co-worker. I've been hooked ever since.
Very much looking forward to seeing the Blazers back in football gear next season!

I personally think that, given the trajectory that Coach Clark had you guys on, and the poor national perception of CUSA the last few years, UAB has been sorely missed. Clark had you guys competitive in your last season and seemed to have you on a path to consistently compete for CUSA West titles. For us fans that've been around since CUSA 2.0 or earlier, I think we're all closer to you than the new members since CUSA 3.0 began a couple years ago. Personally, I'd say 7-8 on a scale of 10.

I felt as if the sports encounters UAB was beginning to have with MT was taking on "Memphis-like" proportions, if you don't mind the comparison. Although the basketball clashes have been historic, I'm so ready to renew our "friendship" on the gridiron. Hopefully in 2017. Best of fortune to the Blue Raiders in the meantime.

I truly marvel at and appreciate your saying this, and yes, far as I'm concerned, Marshall and UAB are forever kindred spirits, no matter what the direction the future may take our respective athletic programs. I know it's been a bit of tough football season for the Herd, but I'm having a good thought for the program for better days ahead.

Thank you, "A.M." I've had the good fortune of attending the Conference USA Basketball Tournament for 2 years in a row, and have loved the bands and mascots of different schools performing for the crowds at the Civic Center and Bartow Arena. ODU's was among the most memorable and enjoyable. Really looking to hopefully paying your neck of the woods an extended visit. Know y'all kind of getting tired of coming down here to Birmingham. We're going to reciprocate! Promise you!

8. If CUSA used the same format as the SEC when scheduling cross divisional foes (one permanent rival) I would love it if UAB were Charlotte's. I try to make two away games a year, and UAB will for sure be one of those the first time we go there. Can't wait to see you guys on the field.

Wanting Charlotte as well as Old Dominion on our conference schedule next season. Absolutely amazing win over Southern Miss in Hattiesburg last week! I watched most of that game and was . Hope that level of competitiveness continues for your program. I think they're well on their way...

Wasn't missed at all by Western....we got a helluva LB and kid from it.
As far the conference it depends on which UAB we are talking about. The program that looked like it was getting over the hump. Or the program that crapped the bed like the other two old farts in CUSA are doing. If it's the first, a lot.
