RE: Official Game Thread: Fordham
Forbes says: "They play a style of play that basically is unlike anybody else on our schedule. They deny every entry. They play way above the ball. The offense that we have run all fall and summer, we're not going to be able to run a lot. We're going to have to beat them off the dribble more than off the pass.

"I've emphasized the pass and playing inside-out. We're still play inside-out, but it's going to be a lot harder. They present a unique challenge." http://www.johnsoncitypress.com/Basketball/2016/11/10/Fordham-ETSU-to-open-hoops-season.html

He also says that Tevin Glass will start in the front court along with Mosquera-Perea for this one, with T.J., Desonta and A.J. again in the back court.

Sounds like Fordham will be a very tough defensive squad.

Let the games begin!

Everyone in that starting 5 can score, and they are long athletes that can defend if they bring effort. The crowd will really get into this one if the Bucs focus.

If we don't play better defense, we'll get run out of the gym.

Looking forward to this game. I expect us to lose a game here and there that we shouldn't lose as we figure out how to play together. Hope our season opener at home isn't one of those. If we have the season we expect to have, we need to win this game.

Respectfully, we are not going to get run out of the gym. We may lose. But not run out.

I think we will score to much to get ran out of the gym. Might be like the Green Bay game last year, lots and lots of points.. not much defense.

RE: Official Game Thread: Fordham
Check out this year's first "Ram's Roundup" interview with the coach above the basic story for the ETSU matchup. Strong recognition of ETSU as a top 100 team likely to be better this year, talented bigs, athletic guards, and of course a coach who can recruit and coach a team.

http://www.fordhamsports.com/news/2016/1...riday.aspx

"We count by 3's."

Given the respect for ETSU and the early comment on injuries/bodies/defense...prediction:

The Rams butt heads with the Bucs for 2/3 of the game, trading blows and leads. The Bucs get lit up around the perimeter all game but ultimately run the Rams ragged with a deep bench and unrelenting presence in the post, bigs and guards alike. Final score, Bucs 86 - Rams 77.

That JAM from Perea! But the Bucs really need to tighten up. Forbes is PISSED and I don't need Just Buc to tell me different from what my eyes can see.

I'm not sure Bradford is the PG. Williams has MUCH better handles.

Not sure I like Bradford at point anyway, I like him much more with the mindset of a scorer instead of a distributor

Right now the Bucs are killing it, Burrell especially, so I can't complain.
