Last game of the regular season last year when we got ran out our own house by USM.

We're 4-0 this year (South Carolina State, WKU, UTEP, Rice).

Already not liking this thread anymore. Hate it when discussions devolve into dumpster bags. After the last two seasons, I'm happy that games like this even matter for us this time of year. But we're really in no position to be so confident about the outcome, unless this is just another trollathon from some of our fans. MTSU was a good result for us, but let's stay grounded.

Final score depends on how early we take our starters out.

On a serious note: I think UTSA will come in with the same game plan that they used to beat MTSU by controlling the clock with their running game. The game will be very tight and close in the first half. Knowing Scelfo, he won't have any half time adjustments while Tech D will adjust and shut out UTSA O.

Luckily for us our run D is better than MTSU's.

This is Trent Taylor and Ryan Higgins last chance to play in Joe Aillet. Also Xavier Woods' last game. I expect some of their best.

I'm sure there is going to be a lot of chipiness going on in this game like in all previous games. Of course all instigated by la t*** U. Can't wait for this game.

Look at the perfect form on that punch!

UTSA's infamous Tristian Wade. He thought he was hot stuff. He put the "thug" in thug. Started that fight and a couple of others.

Dixon (the guy hitting him) is in the NFL now. Where's Wade now? (I'm guessing, prison? LOL!)

Here's an article from the SA Express. He wanted to be known as the "Hit Man". Just stupid people.

RE: ***** UTSA @ La Tech *****
Here's as quote from the article about Tristian Wade:

Quote:Wade has also earned several personal fouls, including his ejection against Southern Utah for hitting a punt returner just before the ball arrived. Though he holds the dubious distinction of being the first Roadrunners player ever banned from a game, Wade said it didn't cause him to alter his style.

The guy was D-I-R-T-Y!!

Now that Wade & Larry Coker are gone, I'm looking forward to a CLEAN game between UTSA and LA Tech. I think everything will be just fine. UTSA has a new coach and a new culture and is playing very well.

All kidding aside, I'm not looking past UTSA, and I hope our team isn't either. BOTH teams have serious momentum, and UTSA is the real deal this year.

I wouldn't go that far, but I do think it's fair to say we'll start next season right around where we are right now, since our boys won't be learning a new system anymore and I'm sure there won't be as big a turnover in our starters either. That should translate to a much better start and we'll hopefully improve even more from there.

Btw, thanks to our new coaching staff, we also lead C-USA in recruiting right now... http://247sports.com/Season/2017-Footbal...ence=C-USA

Be careful when bragging about football recruiting. Marshall is now infamous for bragging about their football recruiting. Every year since we've been in CUSA, Marshall fans have told everyone on this board how their recruiting class is #1 in CUSA, etc....And look where they are now. 07-coffee3

You mean the Marshall who were an aggregate 20-3 in C-USA play during the past 3 years before their down season this year? That wouldn't necessarily be a bad record to emulate. I anticipate they'll be back, so I would also advise you not to kick them when they're down. You know what they say about Karma, and I'm not talking about Boy George's chameleon. 03-wink

So you're saying we shouldn't follow your lead. lol Seriously though, nothing nasty about anything I'm saying. I usually try to keep it as civil as possible. Not looking for fights either. I'm the one who basically tried to scale down the smack talk twice in this thread. But when you come on here and tell us what we'll supposedly say if we lose to you guys this weekend, a response is hardly inappropriate. And with that, I'm calling it a night.

Coming from the Dirtiest team in college football, that's one statistical category that UTSA owns.
