We still won that game though...

Better teams fight thru the hanky's. At least this crew is consistently bad on both sides.

We get it. We suck. We are awful and our coach is in over his head.

We fell ya', after a strong run from 2005-2012 in C-USA, Tulsa's wheels flew off quickly due to hiring the wrong HC. ECU will bounce back quickly as the strongest supported program among the so-called G5.

In the meantime Tulsa fans are going to enjoy this success, after the VERY recent craptastic seasons of 2013 & 2014 and concern as to whether the program could rebound and compete in the AAC.

No doubt, we'll never understand WTF is wrong with the people of Tulsa. There has to be 30,000 people who want to be entertained for 4 hours in a metro area of nearly 1 million.

This isn't the Todd Graham/Bill Blakenship defense ECU would march up and down the field against. ECU offense is inept because the Tulsa defense is making them inept.

Fresno State is the only offense to hang more than 40 pts on Tulsa in regulation (thanks to inept Tulsa offense in 1Q) Last 3 games opponent offenses are doing well to even score 30 pts.

Ohio State?

Ohio State scored 14 points off pick-six right before halftime.

The Buckeye offense scored 34, 31 of which was in the 2nd half.

It's an uphill struggle for Tulsa to gain proper respect. That's fine, the self-deprecation is 03-rotfl

I don't get the poor tackling though..... Tulsa is doing about what I expected offensively but we have been tackling poor and letting them get a lot of the yardage they are building up.

Not sure what is/was going on with the offense tonight.... Tulsa's D hasn't really stopped people.

I guess that depends on your pov in the era of spread offenses. I'm thinking 28 ppg vs opposing offenses is pretty damn good. I'm guessing you are only looking at stats, vs. actually watching Tulsa play, especially of late, holding Houston and Memphis offenses to 31 and 30 points, while operating a quick strike HUHN offense that puts the defense back on the field seems legit to me.

Top 3 defense in AAC = fumble recoveries, defensive touchdowns, and pass breakups. They give up yards, but they makes plays and make driving 80 yards very difficult.

Points per play and Points per possession are better indicators or a D in the era of Spread Offenses. If your team scores 55 and is on the field for 20 minutes, that is a lot better than the opposing team who scores 24 in the same game but had the ball 40 minutes.

lol...True. But they started first and goal on the half yard line and ended up on the 15 or so yard line---with no penalties....I think I finally found an AAC team with a worse OL than us.
