I don't know if that will help. I tried that, using the Roku app and was still WAY behind this thread. I had to uninstall the CHN app so I wouldn't get spoiled on the goals..... Stinks, but small price to pay to not have to deal with hooking my laptop to the tv.

I have Roku on my tv upstairs, I checked it after Nick said that way behind. Went back downstairs for the start of the 3rd, can only have one device at time on NCHC.

I'm using AppleTv 4 downstairs (birthday gift), it KILLS IT.

RE: Saturday- Miami @ Western
Happy for the sweep, very important in this league to get those at home if you can, which is tough to do vs any team. Just ask Omaha

Team looks good, but let's temper our excitement until after we play a couple more series vs better competition. Miami is down this year and it doesn't help when your top D is also out of the line up.

Next week will be a great test and I hope UMD stays #1 until after we play them. We have played UMD very well over the last 3 years, even on the road. But this years team is very different than those other teams, so will be interesting to see how we match up vs UMD

I wish these games were at lawson, but I like the opportunity this team has to make some noise up at #1 UMD next weekend.

What's so great about this league, you will get to see UMD @ Lawson, March 3-4th. But who knows if they will still be #1 by then. Maybe DU will be#1, you can see them at Lawson Jan 13-14th. Or maybe the Sioux move back into the #1 spot, well you can catch them at Lawson Feb 17-18th.

Then again by the time those two series come around, maybe there will be new #1 from the NCHC.....04-cheers GO BRONCOS

Doesn't the OT win for BUGS count as a tie for ranking purposes too?

Rightfully so, he'd rather see hockey fail and be right about his desire to be small time. Small time suits him.

Is there somewhere we can email to complain about the horseshit reffing we have been getting around this region , have watched a few und games and omaha game as well and penalties were not bad at all. there is no 5 on 5 play and you can't get any flow to the game . if you are a kid that don't get specialty teams play you sit . The calls are chincy and are the same for both teams. Watch USHL WHL CCHL and U16 games this year and this is the most pathetic of them by far. I know this is a rant but i have grown up with hockey and been around a bunch and this is screwing the games.

Agree. It was pathetic, inconsistent and just ruined the flow of the game.

Yep, it's a tie and right now has been the anchor that keeps pulling us down pairwise

We get swept by DU and hardly moved pairwise. We sweep Miami and Ferris beats BUGS, we drop even more

I would love to go, but can't this time. And I would also enjoy the discussion with you fever. I look at this year and see that we have done well against a couple WCHA schools, which is what I expect, and struggled against a good NCHC program in Denver, but beat Miami, an NCHC school having a tough run. This is too early in the season to tell, but what has happened so far is consistent with my general theories. We have a good hockey program, and I think also have a good coach, who most here were delighted to see hired, and who did well his first couple seasons. But NCHC is always going to be tough sledding with the depth of the conference. I just don't see the real upside, as I think we can accomplish everything we want in the WCHA, and win lots more games at the same time, but I have already made the arguments, so won't relive again, other than say that our record in the NCHC has and will continue to answer the question, one way or another.

I visited my son this weekend at West Point, and we attended the Army vs Air Force hockey game Friday night, then the football game Saturday. Couple observations. First, neither of those teams is close to the level of WMU, and when we play AF in a couple weeks I think we will do well. AF does have a good size goalie, who played pretty well though. Second, the most conspicuous difference between what I see in WMU games as compared to what I saw this weekend was hitting. Our games there is a lot of it, but there was almost none in the Army/AF game I watched. I was surprised, and disappointed. The crowd was a bit disappointing too. Tate rink is a decent venue, but small, and frankly not near as nice as Lawson. This is unusual as honestly the facilities at West Point overall are second to none. Tate Rink is in the same building as the basketball arena, and everything is very nice, but far smaller than I would have expected. As I have said before though, if any of you ever have the opportunity to visit West Point, don't pass on the opportunity. It still amazes me, and puts me in awe every time I have been here, and I have been here ten times.

Not having my son around now lessens my trips to Kalamazoo, but I still will get to some hockey games, as I love Bronco Hockey, and love hockey in general, having grown up playing it for many years. Hopeful Fever, we can connect for a game and a beer. I am slightly less long winded in person.

WMU was never "small time". The CCHA was a very quality conference, and WMU competed quite favorably during its good runs. The WCHA has some very competitive programs. It also will have a few schools that will struggle. It is a conference that will on average have a couple schools make the NCAA tournament most years, and with a chance at a third. I think it is a better fit.

Oh, and you moomba are a doucherod, always will be, and you prove it multiple times every day, thinking you are clever, when in fact even those who you identify as friendly recognize you as nothing more than the pathetic loser you know first hand you are. ....but I digress.
