Those are pretty sweet. The skyline on the back is a nice touch. Reminds of how awesome I thought the Dark Dogs were when I first saw them. I sure hope these have better luck. Seemed like every game with the Dark Dogs had a disappointing result - before the usual attackers pounce, I realize the uniforms have no actual bearing on the outcome of the game.

No. They had special jerseys for last years Toledo game too. No idea if they are a 1 time thing (like last years) or if they will be part of the uni combination option. My guess is that it is a 1 time thing.

The diamond-Huskie patch would have to come off (assuming it's a patch) to go into regular use. I do think it's a 1-off.

It's the little touches- with the shoulder pinstripes, number font, and diamond-Huskie that really make the jersey.

Would so love a t-shirt based on this look.

Huskies diamond (along with most designs on the jersey) looks sublimated, they're essentially part of the fabric. Also, NIU logo/numbers look like old-screen screen printing, not twill or even heat-sealed transfers. 99% positive this will be a one-time thing, judging by the materials the jersey probably wouldn't hold up after multiple games.

Wish we had the dog logo on the helmet instead of the numbers, but the combo looks amazing. The big NI logo would've been awesome, too!

I guess I'm one of those rare individuals who doesn't get excited about how creative uniforms look. .

However, there is a little bit of "stoopid" irony in my viewpoint. I tend to shake my head at the players who don't tuck in their t-shirts. I guess that comes from a little league coach I once had many years ago, who scolded me for wearing my hat backwards to a game.
