Quote:1. Corey Davis is the best wide receiver in college football

Western Michigan wide receiver Corey Davis has a great frame (6-4) and body control in traffic, but it's his ability to turn a short pass into a long play makes him an unstoppable force against most MAC secondaries. Davis had one of his most dominant performances on this nationally televised stage against the Cardinals, setting a MAC single-game record with 272 yards on 12 catches. He also had three receiving touchdowns, bringing the MAC touchdown record and the FBS all-time receiving yards record in reach for the next couple games.

Preach it, brother!

More on Corey and WMU.

Some coverage of Spillane that I thought was worth sharing.

Had to throw this one in too just for the video clip.

This next one was printed before the game but mentions some logistical hurdles with midweek games. My only nit to pick is that it leaves out (doesn't mention) the inconvenience to fans, especially alums who have to travel to attend.

Good stuff.

And agree 100% on Corey - he's a beast amongst men and boys.

Q: Can you describe Coach Fleck to outsiders?

A: Coach Fleck is a true person, and his energy is not fake. Every day he brings it. He's always able to motivate, and he's a great person to be around.

*Cough* Moomba *Cough*

Sorry, something stuck in my throat there...

RE: Press
Q: What is the most shocking thing you have seen Coach Fleck do?

A: After every quarter, you basically see him run a 40-yard dash along the sidelines. There's nothing that shocks me. He's energetic and brings the juice to practice and games. You never know what you are going to get from him

BYOJ!

^ New Bronconese. They were yelling this on the sidelines; a bunch of us in the stands started yelling it back at the team. They seemed amused,

Yes, but the electric bill is your responsibility. And trash goes out on Wednesdays.

They were talking about juice on the TV broadcast...but that seems too easy.

Yeah, I read that article last night. I think Davis IS the best receiver in the country -- or at worst, at least tied for the best. I would draft him in a heartbeat if I was an NFL team in need of a good receiver.
