22. Troy 6-1 (16): I've meant to write about Troy every week, but for some reason or another I keep putting it off. I can't do it this week. I have a favor to ask of any voters out there from the AP or Coaches Poll who just might happen to read this.
Vote for Troy.
Honestly, I know the College Football Playoff isn't going to do it because Troy is a Sun Belt team, but somebody needs to recognize what's going on with the Trojans this season.
This is a team that's 6-1. There isn't a win on the resume that's going to make you stand up and take notice, but it's a team that's won its six games by an average of 21.67 points per game. It's a team that's sole loss was a six-point loss to Clemson -- yes, Clemson -- on the road in September.
It's a team that deserves a spot on your ballot.
Not in the top 10, or even in the top 20, but it deserves a spot. So, please, when it comes time to fill out your ballot next week, if Troy is sitting there at 7-1, how about giving them a spot rather than some 5-3 team from a Power Five conference?
The Trojans deserve it more than they do.

While I'm happy with all the media attention is getting, especially after the last 5 years, I'm not pushing for us to be ranked unless we beat UMASS this weekend and App the next. Once we get to that point, then we should definitely be ranked.

There's a bit of an obsession within our fanbase right now to get Troy ranked. The way I see it is WIN and the rest will take care of itself.

I have no problem with students getting involved and getting the Troy name out there. This is a good problem to have.

Yep. And all it takes is one or two Troy fans pushing it hard for sunbeltbbs to start the "you guys" need to chill and get all butthurt routine, when most Troy fans just want to win the next two or three games before we really delve into whether we should be ranked or not.

My opinion: we've played well enough in four of our six wins to be ranked, but our last two games have not shown that we deserve it yet. I'd be ok with being ranked if we beat the next three teams on our schedule.

I think it would be great for Troy and the Sun Belt to get in the top 25. Honestly I would love for Troy to be that team, but would be equally happy if it were App State. It would be a huge achievement for the conference.

Of all the teams left on the schedule for Troy I am most worried about App. Based on the stats that game will be close, Troy has the advantage on offense and defense is very close. The only reason I give Troy the upper hand is because we are at home. If Troy can win that game I think they will have the conference and definitely deserve a ranking at that point.

Obsession = fanatics. Fans! It's good to have them excited about Troy football. They have been missing for several years.

Let's be realistic, we need to win at least another 2 or 3 games before Troy should be considered...we are receiving some votes and we are where we belong at the moment...we actually received more votes back in 2004 when we beat a good Marshall and a ranked Mizzou team, it simply takes more than just a few wins...
