As per the first two years, the SEC gets multiple teams in the initial top 4 with A&M being ranked ahead of Washington. Auburn being in the top 10 a bit of a surprise as well.

2 teams from last year's initial top 4 (Bama and Clemson) and one from 2014's (Florida State) are the only teams to actually make the playoff after being in the initial top 4.
