Not from those two (and some others) anyway

Yeah, I don't think we were going to beat LaTech this year, we were outmanned.
But I think the final score was at least in part due to attrition from injuries, the flue bug that hit the team, etc. We got beat like a drum. That doesn't mean anyone quit.
And on the off-chance that someone did, it's not an indictment of the whole team.

Agree regarding those two (and possibly others). But I also saw a lot of quit. TV commentators even mentioned it, at least impliedly.
I find that particularly troubling. Bailiff's reputation is that his teams always played hard, but were very sloppy and made lots of mental and execution mistakes. I think that's a pretty accurate characterization of his 10 years here. Saturday night, I saw the mental and execution terrors, but I saw some things that don't fit the played hard part of that.

RE: RFND
Those videos reinforce to me yet again why I'm passionate about Rice athletics. I've been a Rice fan since age 10. And it appears to me that the players we now have are of the highest character and intelligence yet.
I also think we have some athletic talent.
And yet...

We've had interactions with the baseball and men's basketball teams in the past week, and I was so impressed with the character of these young men. It's very easy to root for such quality people.
