I guess the win over Missouri nullifies the blowout loss to Vandy?

Not hatin. Just doesn't make any sense to me. Then again, the coaches' poll rarely makes sense.

A win over a SEC team (on the road) gets you noticed a lot more than beating the team who beat a SEC school...on the road. Just the way it is.

I told my son on the way home from the FAU game that Middle would have been the 3rd CUSA school ranked in the past 3 years if Western had not beat them. Well I told him that after FIU threw a pick 6

If Western had not gave the Vandy game away...it was a gift. Western had a shot of being ranked. Got to take those advantages when you get them.

You give voters too much credit. They see record and recent SEC road win. No one is looking much deeper than that.

The Vandy game was one of the worst played games I've seen us play in years. Putting the ball on the ground, muffing punts, penalties, making bad decisions all over the place. That has since been cleaned up. It's easy to remove that as an outlier and look at the season in totality, which has been pretty good.

O, the what-ifs...

Beating MTSU the way did took most of the pain away from that Vandy loss....However that Vandy loss ranks up there with me in one of the more disappointing losses we have had in our short history of FBS...

Let's face it. While Vandy has a pretty decent defense; their offense sucks (other than Ralph Webb). So, both Western and Middle should have capitalized. The Hill Toppers were an eyelash away from knocking off the Dores and we really made more stupid mistakes in that one game than we have in the last two years!

Defense wins championships. WKU and USM are doing it better than La Tech and MTU right now.

Have you lost your mind? LA Tech has won 5 games in a row, and beaten WKU 55-52 in the process. Remove the WKU game, and LA Tech beat the other 4 teams by an average of 47-18.
