RE: JMU @ RU thread
They think they are playing last year's team. They aren't.
They think they will stop our running game. They won't.
They think their LB's will get to Schor. They won't.
They think they will be able to score at will on us. They won't.
This is the 2016 Dukes, not 2015. New staff and quite possibly the best staff we have ever had at JMU. This team has gotten constantly better week to week. When Houston identifies a problem, he fixes it. This team is disciplined and are no longer the finesse team we were the last few years. We have one of the best RB tandems in FCS without. Schor has a lot more to prove and his hard work has been paying off. We have yet to put together a full game against a quality opponent.
Now is the time to prove we are one of the top FCS schools in the country. I have faith in our coaches this year and I think they will play our best game of the year and spatters fans will be crying, all 15 of them.

I truly believe we will crush. I don't believe RU will score 20 and we'll be in the upper 40's.

31-27 Dukes. Richmond defense is good, best we have faced. Rocco is 40-19 at Richmond. Tough two week stretch as we next play Villanova in Tally's last home game. I am hoping for a split the next two weeks. [/u]

Is Kloosterman going to be back? I noticed a little during W&M & more vs UNH that missed his run blocking...

Houston hinted that he could have played vs URI. I suspect we will see him vs UR.
He looked healthy on the sideline Saturday and was participating in post TD jump bumps

Thought I remembered him saying something like that, but couldn't find the quote. Nice to have basically another bye week for him to heal up fully.

Kloosterman is really key. he can really do it all, and he gets lost by the defense since we have so many weapons.

Not being critical, but they are ranked in a different category than we are. We are a "Regional University" and they are a "National Liberal Arts" school. Totally different category.

Correct but each school had an overall rating out of 100 regardless of where they are categorized. I can't really find any methodology behind that particular rating though.

We've done R10 the past two UR games and it's been a great spot. There's always a lot of purple

I don't remember from 2 years ago, but do they require a parking pass? I bought my 4 tickets on the Richmond website but don't recall seeing anything about parking passes.

Found the info. R10 and R9 are free lots. No pass.

Two great tweets by JMU Football:
JMU's O-line has been solid in the trenches! The Dukes rank 7th nationally in TFL allowed (3.88/gm) and 14th in sacks allowed (1.0/gm).
...in fact, JMU's offensive line has gone four straight games without conceding a sack!

RE: JMU @ RU thread
The RU offense put up 59 on JMU last year, but they aren't as good this year.
-Last year they had an All American RB. This year their starting RB is down for the season. Didn't they lose 2 RBs?
-Last year they had 2 AA American WR, this year they have 1.
-Last year they had 4 OL receive All CAA honors. Their best one, an All American, is/was with the Tenn Titans as an UDFA. I believe another one is injured.
The JMU defense while not great is better than last year, and isn't left out on the field as long.
Also JMU has much better special teams this year. Remember RU last year was able to score that last TD after recovering that onsides kick.
I would say RU scores in the 30s vs JMU, but JMU has the X factor that I think is worth a TD, maybe 2- in RU's former DC who has has very good knowledge of most of RU's offensive personel.
JMU put up 49 vs RU last year. If Lee doesn't go down, or without that RU onside kick, JMU scores in the 50s. The JMU offense is as good, and is better at TOP. The RU defense is better even without their All American safety.
JMU 38, RU 27.

RE: JMU @ RU thread
UR fans claim our DC allowed too much of a cushion on almost every play to make it easy to exploit for short passes (sounds familiar to us since 2008). Are we at an advantage or does Rocco know Trott too well to be able to take advantage of his schemes? Rocco may know our DC, but our DC knows their entire offensive personnel. I'd say advantage Trott.

Let's let them think that's going to happen and then bite on it for like 10 pick 6s.
