Civility is overrated when pissing away 10 years of progress while sucking up 10 million bucks.

This was not his hire but it's his problem.

I think it's fine to do that, but what's the goal? What are you trying to accomplish? Just to watch the tap dance for your own entertainment? I don't think anyone is wrong who does it, but I can't see what good it does either.

The Shoe will seat way too few for any award of an NCAA Tournament Round. Won't happen.

To make them aware that the fans give a sh*t, they aren't happy, and they want answers. I'm not sure if Bohn is fully aware of that yet. I'm not sure Tubs fully understands that either. Maybe they do. But it's a good opportunity to make sure.

Way less than places like Dayton, Boise, Spokane, etc? I guess I should already know this answer, but I'll just ask anyway.

Incorrect. The NCAA reduced the capacity requirements to 10,000 back in 2012. The problem for Cincinnati is unless they are correcting it, the arena will not have the necessary media access to host an NCAA Tournament.

The city should do something with US Bank Arena but it doesn't seem like that will happen. The city of Cincinnati is consistently one of the highest TV rated areas for the NCAA Tournament. I'm sure potential top seeds like Kentucky, Louisville and Indiana would love to play in Cincinnati. Not to mention the Bearcats, Xavier, Ohio State, Butler, West Virginia, etc. It's a great region for college hoops.

1. What is going on with the Michigan series in basketball and football?
2. Future football scheduling. 2018 has an opening, 2019 has three road games, and will UC continue to play FCS teams.
3. What is the future of the series with Miami Ohio, could UC flip that game to a home game in 2019.
4. Express the need for a better home basketball schedule and the need to be creative with scheduling including giving schools a 2-1 for 1 in some circumstances.
5. Where is UC basketball going to play during the 2017-2018 season?
6. Will there still be bleacher seats in the renovated arena and what is going to be the price point.
7. Will UC attempt to host the men's basketball conference tournament when the new Fifth Third Arena is completed in 2018?
8. What type of leadership role will UC take in the American? Any thoughts on a new TV deal or potential sources of new revenue.

Asking about the football coach or the Big XII is probably a waste of time. The AD already knows the unrest with both situations. I want to get real information and try impact areas where the AD can actually do something.

Excellent post. These questions will at least get us new information in areas where there is information to share.

I would ask about what assurances does UC have that Michigan will fulfill its basketball obligation with us, and if we don't get a satisfactory answer:

1. Should we cancel the football game (with 2 months notice)?
2. If we do go through with the football game, what kind of penalty applies if they don't play the basketball series?
3. If neither 1 nor 2 can be done, then why did UC athletics, yet again, make such a horrible deal?

I agree with your list of questions in terms of relevancy and getting some first hand information with regard to each. I don't agree that it would be a waste of time from the perspective of letting the AD know how folks feel about the state of the football program in Year 4 and the importance of football to our brand, recent history of success and national exposure. It doesn't always have to take the form of a direct question - it can be a brief, heartfelt comment. Bohn needs to continue to hear the frustrations and concerns stated personally from fans and alumni but in a respectful manner of course. He can't be expecting anything less.

From the perspective of what Bohn will actually say in public then, yeah, it can be expected that he makes some prepared "company line" statements. I think how he handles these meetings and the outcomes (or lack thereof) will tell us a lot about Bohn as well.

1. "Mr. Bohn, will you commit, right here and now, to never signing a coach to any contract that includes a "buy out" clause?"

DL

The purpose of a buy out is so that a school doesn't have to pay the full remaining value of the contract if they want to fire a coach.

The reality is that if UC is too much of a dick about it, right or wrong, it will make scheduling quality P5 opponents even harder in the future. No reason to give them ammunition to avoid playing us. It isn't fair by any measure, but it's what we're stuck dealing with going forward for the foreseeable future.

BB game has already been canceled.

He won't have any problem with answering yes to this one because no coach will sign that contract.

Ask Mike if he will force CTT to listen to a Tito Francona press conference so he can learn not to be a weasel.

If he starts to waste time with canned answers, please ask the following:

"Mr. Bohn, why does my cat's breath smell like cat food?"
