USM athletics Facebook page has a graphic saying kickoff will either be at 3:00 pm or 4:00 pm with the official announcement sometime after this Saturday's game.

3:00 PM kickoff would be on ESPN News
4:00 PM kickoff would be on ESPNU

Doing the same thing to us as they're doing to the Moonshine Throwdown.

Difference here is they moved this game to Friday expecting a showdown for the west so they could get it on ESPN or ESPN2. Although I'm glad we wrapped up the division, the fact we did greatly lessens the importance of this game (except for the fans of our teams, of course) and so as far as ESPN is concerned, this game doesn't deserve national attention. Which is a shame.

Things changed since I made that post and I agree with you 100%. Tech brags a lot about how their fan base travels so we can expect 5-6,000 of them at least, especially since their team is doing so well. They never have and if they dont show up for this then they never will.

And how they broadcast it won't affect me personally because I'll probably be there. I'm just saying if USM hadn't crapped it up this year this game could be aired for a larger audience and help grow recognition of our school, our conference, and our rivalry.

I have what Tech gives us on campus lol. Which is ESPN, ESPN2, Fox Sports Southwest, Cox Sports, NBCSN, SEC, FS1, and SEC alternate. We don't get ESPNU or ESPN3, which I assumed were always online. We don't even get CBS Sports Network, which I'm mad about because some of the best G5 games are on there.

You get the basic package from Suddenlink on campus. You do have to upgrade to receive ESPNU and ESPNews. I would suggest going to Dawghouse for the away games.
