This broadcast is poor. No score graphic, no first down line, announcers not know if they are or aren't on the air.

Try watching on ESPN 3.

If we don't end up #1 on the bottom 10/25 polls after these last two weeks, there's something wrong with the voters.

Rice fans not surprised. Bailiff sticking stubbornly to his senior quarterback, when he had good talent on the bench that can gain playing experience for next year, is just another reason many of us want him fired yesterday.

What are Rice fans hearing about Bailiff? Has he saved his job by winning the last 3?

If UTEP does fire the head coach, that will mark three UTEP coaching staffs fired since Marshall and UTEP have last met on the field. How does that happen in a conference?

Technically, he's just won the last two (there were the blowout losses to La Tech and FAU between our PV A&M win and Charlotte win), but I get your point. All quiet so far...article in the Houston Press (smaller paper in Houston than the main one, the Houston Chronicle) was contemplating that same thing. I would be saddened if Bailiff returned (especially considering we will likely end the year on a horrible note, with a blowout loss to Stanford (the alma mater of our AD, no less) this upcoming Saturday), but not shocked. The Rice administration (outside of athletics) has a propensity for tolerating Bailiff's many coaching ineptitudes as long as we graduate players at a high rate and the fact that he is a good fit for Rice on a personal level.

I don't think that's correct. UTEP beat Marshall in 2009 in El Paso and lost to Marshall in 2010 in Huntington. Price was coach then and Kugler is his replacement. So only 1 coaching change since we last played and 2 if Kugler gets the axe.

Westsidewolf and the Houston Press article are right on. A lot of silence from the athletic director. Rumblings that Bailiff has some big donors on his side, but also maybe a fragile coalition of season ticket holders who ponied back up in 2016 only to bolsters Rice's chances to move conferences if a Big 12 expansion created an opening in the AAC or MWC.

The student newspaper did call for Bailiff's firing. We'll all be on the edge of our seat a week from today to see if Bailiff really does get the axe. Just my opinion, but if Bailiff stays another year it will probably be more because Rice did not want to pay the big buy-out, and the conference-changing pressures seem to have subsided.

But next year's out of conference schedule (Stanford, at Houston, Army, at Pittsburgh) has 0-4 written all over it if Bailiff stays.

UTEP staff just doesn't give a **** anymore. It's why I stopped giving a ****. They sold UTEP's soul to Price. The effects of that will last at least a decade.
