Perhaps, but the coaches poll is merely window dressing in reality when it comes to the postseason. The upcoming CFP rankings are where it's really at, and for that hopefully WMU will earn some respect.

RE: Week 10 Coaches Poll
The AP is #17. If WMU wins out, they're going to the Cotton Bowl. WMU now controls their own destiny. They better start rowing, because there's a good chance to lose 1 of 5 games from here on out.
- @Ball State: Not difficult, not incredibly easy. Has some danger as an ingredient.
- @Kent: Kent just won AT CMU. Yikes.
- Buffalo: They just THUMPED Akron. Ouch.
- TOLEDO: They just lost to Ohio at home. A good sign for a WMU win, but Toledo's still the same team...
- OHIO MACC: Look out. They beat @Toledo.
*IF* WMU goes undefeated, which is a sizeable IF, considering more than 1/3rd of the season is left to play -- and maybe 2 of those games will be seen/felt as "gimmies" -- they'll make it. The only way WMU doesn't go to the Cotton Bowl while winning out would be:
- WMU needing barn-burners to beat everyone including Kent, Buffalo, and BSU.
- Boise whips everyone left, including 1L San Diego State in the MWC.

Even if Boise whips everyone on their schedule by 100 points, it won't matter unless Wyoming loses twice in their final four conference games. Otherwise, Boise can't win the MWC Championship and is out of the access bowl conversation.

RE: Week 10 Coaches Poll
^^^ Ahhh, good point. Wyoming would need to lose 2. Yeah, it'd be tough for them to lose 2... although it is certainly possible. New Mexico & SD-State wouldn't be shocking losses at all. This is a team that needed OTs to beat NIU at home, and did lose @EMU.
But yes, it should be assumed there's a higher chance they'll clinch the division in the end. I hope they win the MWC (lose to SD-State but beat them in the MWC).
