Between $3 Million to $5 per school from 2017 to 2019 and $8 Million to $10 Million per school starting in 2020.

Sounds like another bubble that will eventually pop.

This obsession with getting more and more money is just not sustainable. People 20 years from now are going be like, they were paying how much for college sports? Thats ridiculous!

The low man on the P5 totem poll is the B12.

It will probably force more consolidation among the P5's to scramble for the diminishing TV dollars available.

It could force the CFP to expand by more bowls for inventory on the contract.

Sounds good to me.

ACC has a lot of really good brands, great research schools, that deserve to get paid every bit as much as the "football/diploma mill" SEC schools! (kidding! Sheesh)

goof,

Still a fraction of the NFL payments. And you're not complaining about that ...

CFB is a great property. High quality, fraction of the cost.

Right up until you add the new Big12 title game, then the acc is sucking hindtit with the pac.

LOL, the B12 provides no concern to any of the other P5 leagues, other than how to divide up the B12, when the time comes.

Florida State's AD is obviously lying.

After all, I just read on an Iowa State blog that the ACC's money is not going to increase for the next 35 years or something like that.

Why the ACC schools would have agreed to extend their GOR despite the fact that they won't be getting a pay hike until the Obama girls are eligible to run for president is beyond me, but that is apparently what happened.

This information obviously flies in the face of the ISU blogger's bombshell revelation and I have to take his word for it because he has an excellent reputation in the Cyclone blogging community.

If we have learned nothing else during the realignment saga of the past few years it is that the Big 12 bloggers and fans are excellent at math and clearly understand how this business works better than anyone else.

Wow, that hurt.

LOL, not really. What do I care about Bernie Fine or his wife? 01-wingedeagle
The last tax forms showed that the ACC had the third highest per school payout of all conferences, behind only the BIG and SEC. Thats inspite of all your B12 "percieved" advantages. With the ACCN, that is only going to get worse for the B12. The ACC has REAL Leaders. The B12 is being led by a bunch of laughable, goofy kooks. GET REAL!

So why, exactly, is this not on the ACC board?

Well I guess we could discuss how UConn extended Bobbie Moobs Diaco out until 2020. 03-lmfao

Big XII CG will bring an extra $3 million per team. So the ACC matches that for two years then beats it by $2M in 2019, then by $5 to $7 M after that.

Thing is, with an ACCN, the ACC will basically be getting paid on a commission basis. ESPN isn't guaranteeing them any payments above what they currently make.

It all depends on the subscriber base the ACCN attracts, so nobody knows for sure, just like nobody knew with the SECN either.

We just have to wait and see.

I actually agree with this statement. But, now that there is a network, I am betting that there is a minimum base of at least an additional $3 million per team (the same that would have happened without a network per contract), if the network does not do well.

Just as there was a minimum for the BTN when it started.

Cheers,
Neil
