It was 72 saturday. Would have been 1000 more OU fans, and 4,000 more students plus an obvious good normal alum crowd. Would have been 23,000 this Saturday. No doubt.

RE: Week 9 Attendance
Attendance issues are hard to judge this late in the season.
We normally blame poor attendance on the weather. But in MI, it was in the 70s.
The big 'problem' was the UofM/MSU game which sucked all of the oxygen out of the day for folks living in MI.

Ohio doesn't draw that great for weeknight football but its not easy to do when only 10% of your alums live within a 45 minute radius.
Some of these schools like Toledo and Buffalo have no excuse when they have 50,000 alums living within a 15 minute drive of the stadium. They should be able to put 30,000 in the stands on weeknights and 40,000 on Saturday.

I saw maybe 12 people in the stands in Buffalo. The other 15,000 must have been on the other side of the stadium.

You've got to be kidding. The biggest stadium in the MAC holds under 33k. As an Ohio grad and fan, I know a lot of alumni. Maybe one in 10 Ohio grads I know give any more than a passing damn about Bobcat sports -- and we're one of the tallest midgets in the MAC when it comes to support. You're delusional if you think that roughly half of all alumni care about football, let alone care about it enough to attend games.

Probably.
It kind of stinks that we televise these games and then the cameras faces the opposite way where the majority of people are sitting.

Will be very interested to see how Kalamazoo turns out for the 17th ranked team in the country down the stretch.

I didn't say it would be a 1 for 1 alumni filing the stadium.
I said with 50,000 alums on their door step they should be able to generate 30,000 in those markets. Alums would bring friends and family ect so really what you need is 8,000 more alums in those markets to give a damn.
I doubt that 1/10 Bobcat alums care when at least 1/2 have sat at some point in Peden Stadium while a student judging from the attendance numbers. There a lot of alumni who care but can't make it to the stadium because of distance or obligations.
That Ohio's been leading the MAC in attendance the past few years despite not a large local alumni presence is an aberration. Toledo and WMU have far more drawing power and have put 10,000 more in the stands than what Ohio has ever seen. Buffalo has been lousy almost its entire existence in FBS but has more potential than most in the MAC.
