The first game with Oklahoma caused a lot of injurys and our talent is very good but not very deep

Houston is legit, nobody can seriously deny it.

The drop off of talent down the depth chart is the serious problem and creates the parity of which several teams have taken advantage.

SMU came to play that night, that was no total fluke imo but stop it, SMU is not better than UH, certainly not 22 points better on a typical night.

Houston lost to Navy and SMU, and was down in the 4th quarter against Cincy, Tulsa, and UCF. Hardly dominant. If getting lucky OOC and then crushing UConn makes you the best team in the conference then let's put the crown on ECU.

No, Houston is not definitively better than OU. Didn't think I'd say that, did you? It's a one game sample and UH isn't playing that well anymore. OU meanwhile is not only, well, OU but their only other loss is to Ohio State.

If you want me to acknowledge SMU is better, then they need to prove it weekly and yearly. Even before last year and September of this year, UH had a recent pedigree of winning and being nationally relevant. SMU hasn't since the Pony Exce$$ days and there's no reason to think SMU is better, not based on this year or recent years.

So they rose up and blew UH out, it's called an upset, you act like you've never seen one. Again, is South Alabama, irrelevant in their own bad conference, 18 points better than MWC-leading San Diego State?

Getting lucky? UH blew out OU and dominated Texas State. It could have been 99-3 if they didn't take their foot off the gas. That said, the team was overhyped and overrated. They had a relatively soft schedule last season and caught a few breaks, especially the Memphis game. FSU was a nice win but it raised expectations a lot this year.

Plus, teams have figured out how to better defend Ward. All in all, the season is going about as it should.

Tul$a's only other loss is also to Ohio State.

But they got blown out pretty bad. It was close for a while but Tulsa kept shooting itself in the foot. But it was still 48-3 in the end.
