...and nothing has changed..
We'll prolly hush hush sweet Charlotte, but ODU and NTSU can easily kick our azzes...
And right now, La Tech looks better than us..

we gave up 226 yards. 60 rushing yards. id say we made great progress on defense. i think we gave up 5 diff runs of 60 yards the previous three games.

The defense looked far less clueless this week than in previous weeks, but that's relative. The offense continued leaving too many plays unmade that are there for the taking.
Tech is going to beat us like a dusty rug if we don't get a hell of a lot better between now and then.

the middle of the field was so wide open....
go back to when that big fat bastard at ul dinked us to death on the outside so many years ago....
we are wasting what Ito and Allen can provide...at least Daws_n recognized some of that tonight.....and Mullens is regressing to Kelly level now...too slow with his reads...he's thinking too much.....and that's coaching screwing that up....
I'd still buy Monk his red bull/vodka....but I'd preface that with a "fk u" for leaving one year too early....

The best thing I can say about the Tech game is that it's at home, and we haven't had a game where we played awful at home. Our only home loss was in the rain and against a damned good team.

im not concerned with La Tech. like i said before, since the 2nd half of kentucky, our defense has been lights out with the exception of the UTSA game...and a half against LSU (i can somewhat excuse the LSU half for obvious reasons). sure, we have given up some other big plays but by and large, the Defense has played well except for a game and a half since Kentucky.
if we start giving up a ton of 50+ yard plays again, then ill worry about La Tech.

you should be....
higgins to taylor and henderson is a wicked combo having to defend....
imagine having two Itos on the outside....yeah, that game is in the bag .... /s
and craft out of the backfield is pretty sporty too...
their D is their achilles heel, but is showing signs of improving against weaker opponents
all I know is I am going to load up on the over in this one unless the weather becomes spotty...both teams score over 40 with all things being equal....

didnt say the game is in the bag. but im not petrified of the team like some are. their offensive numbers are a little inflated based on their competition. kinda like ours.

"not concerned" pretty much states one feels "superior".... this isn't the Tech we pounded on for many a year....
it's gonna be one helluva game....
however, we got to get there first for it to make a difference....the ootsa loss is still unacceptable and only adds pressure moving forward....we're hardly a juggernaut at this point...
two back-to-back road games against improving teams doesn't help either....
the remaining four games offer many a TTT momento to be handed out....

please dont put words in my mouth. my statements speak for themselves. yes, it should be a good game. im not scared of them, though. youre the one that said La Tech is gonna "beat our arse". does that mean you think they are "superior"? sounds like it. i disagree. as i said....if we start giving up 50+ yard plays, ill worry about them. that means...im not worried about them right now. that doesn't mean i think we are superior. if i thought that...i would say that. im not sitting here with worry and fear of them. of course, that is subject to change based on the results of the games leading up to the la tech game. my concern may grow. but it may not. fair?

fair enough....I don't underestimate anyone until the clock expires....that was my point....
and the way our D has been missing gap control and containment??? then yeah, they'll beat our arse like we did to them last year if that continues...
has nothing to do with being "scared"....it's about respect...
I choose to view things that way....

'xactly, Stanky
I don't think anyone believes IF we play against La Tech the way we just played against Marshall, that we'd win...
Teams try to GET BETTER during the season, not WORSE...
That being said, trust me, no one is skeeered of La Tech and I believe we will be ready for them, but we gotta play better...

Also, haven't had a game where we played great at home. Should have blown out Rice. Should have blown out Marshall. Our players were superior to their players. So far, the coaching staff is not getting the best out of the hand they were dealt.
