Wouldn't it be interesting to hear the internal coach speak? Do they all tell each other how smart they are and what good jobs they are doing?

Why do we get outplayed in second half. I always think 3 C's:

Conditioning
Character
Coaching

And all 3 are at the feet of the HC.

UC football has got to the point where in unwatchable, got rid of tickets 2 years ago but still watched on TV,now I can't even watch more than a half without turning it off,the offense is so vanilla it rediculous and the D gives up 20 yd chunk plays every other play.

Not sure if he's joking or not, but Stewart Mandle suggested Lane Kiffin

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk

He'd be one of my first targets. Talented coordinator who was given big jobs before he was ready. I like that he's been working for saban, i think he could recruit here and in think it's the right kind of opportunity.

Wasn't a big fan of him, but I'm open to 2nd chances and I could see him being a good fit. Although it's a week old, here's an interesting update on Kiffin and his future prospects. At the end of the article is an even more interesting section called:

Quote:Job Market
(With Herman obviously positioned atop the job market this year—even after Houston lost to SMU on Saturday—here are the 10 coaches after Herman and Kiffin who have helped themselves the most this season).

Might be worth bookmarking (especially for #s 4,7,8 and 10) for if and when the UC job opens up...

The Kiffin era might be the first to span a single season, maybe less if a bowl game were involved. That is if he had anything to say about it.

RE: Tuberville SUCKS FIRE TUBERVILLE
I just don’t see Kiffin coming here. I think he winds up with a P5 job. IMO our options are either P5 assistant coaches or between a few guys that coach at FCS, Sunbelt or C-USA level currently. The active head coahes I speak of:

Bo Pelini (YSU)- Ohio guy as his entire staff. He’s making $200K/year at YSU and living off his buyout from Nebraska. YSU has better asst. coaches than we currently do as well (Carl Pelini, Ron Stoops, Jr., Shane Montgomery, etc.). This staff would recruit the hell out of Ohio on name alone.
Jeff Brohm (WKU)- Louisville alum and native. Also has a better asst. staff than we do currently.
Neal Brown (Troy State)- Air Raid Offense. Coached as OC at several P5 stops and has turned Troy around.
Scott Satterfield (Appy State)- One of those guys who gets it done with little to no resources.

I think any one of those guys would be a good fit here.

Did Tuberville really blame the Temple band for playing too loud in the post game presser? Jesus Christ, this has reached a new level of circus.

The jack@$$ ran out of scapegoats at UC, so now he's blaming the other team's band. Unprecedented level of unaccountability.

BAHAHA I believe the kids these days call this savage.

The Tweet from TempleBands:

To be clear, we were doing exactly what we are allowed to do. We did our job. Others should do theirs while they still have one.

They are, as the kids would say, "on fleek" with their response.

From another angle, it is also laughable to hear a university whose football program was so putrid they got booted from the Big East talk about "doing their jobs".

By all accounts Pelini is a jerk, but I don't care. He wins a lot of games.

Pelini definitely looks like a jerk with his mannerisms but it is definitely passionate. Something i miss

There's a difference between passion and being an a$$hole. He really wore out his welcome at Nebraska. Also, if we want a return of more dynamic offense, Pelini ain't your man.

Neal Brown is intriguing; Troy State was a power while I was stationed at Fort Rucker. My worry would be his ability to recruit here.

I have no problem with solid hard hitting football and a strong defense. I cannot comment much about Pelini because I do not know. I like his Ohio roots. He seems like a Dantonio type coach. Unlike Flubbs, he seems like a competitive guy. That is what I mean by passion. I do not think the current hc cares about wins or losses.

Next guy has to have a on-field staff heavy in Midwest ties. Not having anyone on this staff with regional ties was mistake #1 of many by Tubby. The fact that he compounded it in 3 successive offseasons by not hiring guys to rectify that when he had so many openings to fill is perplexing.

For Midwest ties the best candidates are PJ Fleck (unattainable IMO), Pelini, or one of the OSU assistants (Tim Beck, Ed Warriner, Luke Fickell, Greg Schiano).

Any of these guys would have instant cried with the area high school coaches (as well as other parts of the state as well).

Brohm is a Louisville guy so he would have some juice in CIncinnati, but I don't know about the rest of the state. Looking at his staff and their commits the past couple seasons at WKU they have a lot of connections in GA and FL.
