quick slants are about positioning and location, not separation. The defender's hopes (in man) are that you throw high (so he can hit the arms) or that you throw it behind him as he undercuts the route. That's the 'tire throw'. Put it in about a 1 yard window and it's a completion for 4+ yards

2 passes tipped by Rice go for completions on Tech's first drive, the 2nd for a TD to a receiver other than the intended target. Great start!

On pace for 1,140 yards by my math. Which would actually be entertaining to see.

Two tipped balls that La Tech was unbelievably lucky to come down with, including the TD, neither intended for the received that caught them.
