SMU at Tulane Game Thread
It's 7-7 so far. Tulane just converted a huge 4th and 1 to keep the TD drive going. SMU looks good in the vertical passing game.

Tulane's offense is dead in the water.

14-10 SMU mid 2nd. SMU looks like they have about 20-28 more points in them. Tulane doesn't. That's the scary part.

There's talent in patches. The offense is a disaster, though - I think a new OC could be in the works.

I thought the offense was Fritts' system?

It doesn't work. The problem is that they haven't committed to ANYTHING. They're not really an option team, not really a spread team - there is no basic concept.

Fritz isn't going to the P5 anytime soon.

That was a huge TD throw from Glen - his first real contribution to this game.

21-17 now. Tulane's defense held the fort for two quarters and cannot be blamed this game.

By the way, the refs need to get out of this game. You cannot call EVERYTHING. Neither team can run a play without something getting called.

Your punter has easily been worth 7-10 points for us this game. You've been pinned all day when you think about the "punting margin" between Tulane and SMU.

Ugly game so far. But it is close, at least. Next one pretty much guaranteed to be more exciting, lol.

There's the antidote for the punt, lol.

It's like a vertical passing game actually helps you if you're a running team. It took until 3-4 and down 10-21 at home to realize this.

Congrats, Tulane. Fritz made adjustments at halftime and our coaching staff was still reading their press clippings from last week. Deserved win for the Wave.

RE: SMU at Tulane Game Thread
50 yard scramble drill cuts the lead to three with 6 to play. The good news is that Tulane is somehow in a game they shouldn't have been in, and I think turnovers + effort level have been the difference.

Now only 31-28 Tulane.

Bad playcall on 4th down, but I like the idea of going for it.

SMU driving at midfield down only by 3.

Giving up too early. Down 3, SMU on Tulane's 9.

Come back! 03-lmfao
