MAKE THE MAC WEST GREAT AGAIN
What a week!

BG did not play. Ohio could win the East with 8 or 9 wins... Kent State could be secretly decent with that defense. Miami is no longer the worst team in the East, and Buffalo ruined Akron's season.

It's a good thing WMU didn't play because the west took a beating! EMU is losing currently, Toledo was stunned at home once again, and CMU's wheels have fallen off since they beat Oklahoma State.

How can I rank this conference besides the fact that BG is probably the worst and WMU is 20 points better than the next best team??

The onset of MACtion is riddled with upsets. Gotta squash that virus by Tuesday night.

Now that Toledo won't be ranked heading into thanksgiving weekend... That Ohio win will probably be very helpful in the Access race, giving OU a shot to run the table for a 9-3 season... OU could look better than the loser of the AAC title game.

RE: MAKE THE MAC WEST GREAT AGAIN
- Buffalo smashes Akron by 21pts.
- Ohio wins at Toledo for the first time since 1967.
- Kent State wins at CMU
- Miami leads EMU 14-3 in Q3.

Week 9 is the week the East went insane.

Revenge of the MAC East! I nice reminder the difference in competition level may not be as large as we thought. The exception is probably WMU.

Maybe? Judging by the NIU vs. UB score, I'd say NIU is probably better than most thought after OOC play. CMU does not look as good as projected after they beat Oklahoma State. Akron is disappointing too. Miami and OU are better than most thought.

Tier 1:
WMU- Can you smell undefeated?

Tier 6:
Ohio- Kent's win today makes that close game understandable. Just a solid team with a P5 win.
Toledo- 3-1? Getting worse? I think Toledo should have beaten OU, and if played again Toledo should win. Then again, if OU's QB had any accuracy we would have lost by 3 TD's.

Tier 6.5:
NIU- Gave WMU a game and have seen some GREAT teams this season, but did lose to CMU.
Ball State- 4-4 with no big tests in MAC play yet.
EMU- They have played all 3 in the above tiers... maybe the Hurons are beat up?
Miami- streaking!!
Kent- very solid defense

Tier 6.75:
Akron- Just yucky the past 2 weeks
UB- they have a MAC win by a lot of points
CMU- Cooper Michigan University
BG- searching for their first win still

The schedule's are so unbalanced thus far that I can't connect teams better than groups of 4 and 5 in the middle and bottom.

Yea, a couple weeks ago I would have ventured a guess in ordering the teams by how good they are. I have no idea now, other than WMU.

A few weeks back I ranked Western, Toledo, Central and Eastern as the 4 best teams in the MAC. I still feel like Western is by far #1. As for #2 I will still give it to the Rockets. I do think Ohio has probably climbed up to #3. But let's be honest. When it comes to the MAC parity always rules and on any given night the upset can happen.

And everyone was saying on the Prediction thread that this would be an easy week. . .. .. . . . . .

I don't think I really need to say more other then shocked CMU lost. I'm happy Miami's doing well, but I'm disappointed EMU lost again.

Crazy week of MACtion.
