I didn't. His thumb does not appear to be a problem. His throws arent off anymore than they were before the injury that kept him out of one and a half series, 3 weeks ago.
nope....I saw someone that didn't attempt (again) any pass more than 20 yds in the vertical....
I also saw him fumble when he shouldn't have...
cortisone is a helluva drug....
last night was very encouraging....
but stop pretending that it doesn't still exist in some capacity....
he's one tough cookie......and the passes he did throw mostly had 'Mullens style zip'
there's enough in the playbook where we can win out if we don't self destruct going into the Tech game
I saw some throws over 20. But right, certainly not many bombs. Could be play selection. We haven't thrown a ton of bombs all year. Def not with much success.
The marshall qb had the exact same fumble.
Has anyone confirmed hes had a cortisone shot or just speculating hes been taking one?
Im encouraged with the defense. I think we can win out too. Our wrs need to step it up and catch the ball. If not, soon enough staggers will be double teamed and we are screwed, otherwise.
it's a standard anti inflammatory/numbing agent that provides short term pain relief whilst still in action...
can I definitively state yes? no, I cannot....
there's no way anyone would feed the GP that info....but you already knew that answer....
hell, I superdosed a couple of prednisone steroid packs a couple of mos. ago when that crazy funk was going around...
I just know how I would treat that one myself.....I've done it relative to tendon inflammation....it's verrrrrry effective....
and remember, we're not talking about a knee/shoulder/elbow where the long term risk of further damage outweighs the short term efficacy.....that's important to point out....this ain't Friday Night Lights boobie miles treatment times
hell, he could be taking nothing to aleve to celebrex to whatever....I just know that injury....it takes time with little stress/motion to properly heal.....he'll get that after the season
he's a tough young man....I trust his and the staff's judgment how they are continually treating this....
this is why I stated many times why yesterday's game was important....at least he has the intermediate passes back with his zip on the ball...he could barely do that against lswhoo...the pass he made to Ito in the 3rd was incomplete, but impressive (wish he'd have quick hit that one...he was wide open against their LB)
and yeah...Marsha was playing soft most of the game, so those passes were the best options anyway...
