Didn't the NFL do it last year with Yahoo?

Edit: It was a london game between Bills and the Jags. Got 33.6 million views

Netflix would be awesome, but I believe the CEO at Netflix have repeatedly said they won't pursue live sports. I could be wrong. I hope they do because they seem to do things first class. The shows they produce are very well done and I'm sure they would do it right if they did it at all.

Here's the first article I found.

Sounds like the AAC would have to approach Netflix and be very ready to take a gamble. The conference leaders never seem to be innovators so I doubt they will take the plunge which I totally disagree with. The AAC needs to make a bold move to thrive instead of surviving on the crumbs from the P5.

Disney is purchasing Netflix. Disney owns ESPN. I doubt they're purchasing Netfix to create a competitor to the commodity they already own.

The USL streams all of their games on U-tube. The home team provides the broadcast. Sometimes the content is good, but sometimes not. I like becuase it allows a fan to rewatch games whenever you want, or just watch it later when you have time.

Last year, the NFL Game in London with the Jags was only shown on Yahoo.com

It had mix "performance results" but it did attract one of the largest online audiences, even with 9 30 AM EDT kickoff.

Though not exclusive, the NFL has experimented with streaming the Thursday Night Football games on Twitter. Apparently for the Week 2 game, it averaged 243,000 viewers per minute (while the CBS/NFL Network accumulated 15.4 million).

In regards to the best "online" streaming for sports.....NBC's Sunday Night Football online streaming is fantastic...as it gives viewers total control of which camera they want to see and when. No clue if NBC could do that for all their other sports (and/or for nbcsports.com in the future).

Try it this Sunday night (I think its via nbcsports.com) during the next game...its very cool and very sharp! (ESPN and their app, Watch ESPN, ESPN3, etc...has so many problems with million of viewers because it realize on different cable subscriptions and even if you have one, it will pop up and say you don't).
