Rice at LaTech pre-game predictions
The Owls give up over 40. The question is whether we can score that much. Unlikely, I'll say.

Rice 24
LaTech 45

RE: Rice at LaTech pre-game predictions
As much as I'd prefer to be wrong, I don't see us covering the spread.
Given the Bulldogs' rankings in passing categories, they should be hammering our secondary on nearly every play.
But I've thought that of every opponent this year, regardless of rankings, and have continued to be surprised that the games haven't devolved into windsprints-with-whistles.
I wish only the best for the team, but I'm a life-long student of patterns.

Bailiff will still be head coach Monday. The Parliament will be unhappy.

Line moved a lot, from 23 to 30.5. If forced to bet on the game I would probably take Rice and the points. However I think a competitive game in the 2nd half is unlikely. We need to burn clock with long drives that end up in points. They will score quickly.

Rice "Bowl eligibility" goes on life support. DB says it's on him, and the Owls learned from the loss.

Having said that, prove me wrong Owls! How about learning from an unexpected win?

RE: Rice at LaTech pre-game predictions
Looking for La Tech defense stats (#88, 431.0)…
Texas Tech (#127, 532.7) and Oregon (#128, 538.6) are now ranked below us (#126, 519.0) in team defense (ranking, ypg).
Much as we want to play with the P5s, imagine if we had faced those offenses every week...

We are last (128) in passing efficiency defense, but La Tech is #118.
La Tech is #35 in rushing defense.

It would be better if those rankings were swapped, given our strengths and not-strengths.

I doubt we get 30, but 66 sounds about right

RE: Rice at LaTech pre-game predictions
I predict I will watch the first part of the game on Twitter. I predict that the quality of the feed will be below that of the NFL feed and this will be acceptable for some on this board. Lastly, I predict we will be 1-7 and DB will remain coach
