Good game, USA. It wasn't always pretty to watch, but it was a close one. Y'all took care business at the end, while we faltered. Good luck getting bowl eligible.

Thanks,
Your defense is pretty good.
We will need it. ULM in Monroe is up next for us. We really need to work on our offense.

We cannot count on ANY wins from here on out, so long as our offense sputters like it has been. Even Presbyterian.

Glad we won for multiple reasons, but especially so I can say this without sounding like sour grapes.
On behalf of panthers and Jaguars, I want to apologize for that display of football this evening to the conference. Thank you.

Yes, garbage football.
We don't have a winning program right now. Maybe that will change, but for now, that's the truth. We don't have winners on our roster or on our coaching staff. If we did, I think we'd be 4-4 and not 2-6. We have a few nice players, but as a whole, we are entirely capable of screwing anything up. ANYTHING.
Congrats to USA on your first conference win, you made the plays you needed to in this game when it mattered, and we puked it away when it counted, like usual.
So freaking frustrating.

I was so frustrated for 99% of this game. For us, we were right at this place last year. And we blew it...spectacularly. Now, we need at LEAST 2 more wins. We're going to have to do a bit better. We share a lot this year, in that we both have pretty good defenses (at least from a scoring perspective). We both have offenses that CAN win games, but who usually don't.
Now, we get another close to must win game next week.

I dare two teams top the crap fest South Alabama and Georgia State put on the field today. South Alabama will send an apology letter to each team on Monday, hopefully Georgia State does the same. What a time to be alive.

Georgia State's defense looks great, but I wonder a little about depth issues. It seems more than once this year they've played a great first half, but struggled as the game goes on to make the key stops.
Offense is another story entirely.

RE: HOMECOMING-Georgia State @ South Alabama
Couple of take always from the game yesterday.
First, yes our offense lacks an identity, but playing GaSt's defense doesn't help. They have made a couple games hard to watch, holding Wisconsin to 23(I think) and App St to 17. So I'm not going to throw my offense under the bus after this weeks game, they did enough to win the game.
Second, after having 30k+ on a Thursday night, we bring in 11,565 on a Saturday, homecoming, no Bama game and Auburn playing away at night, and the weather was perfect. We were the only FBS game in the state. Not sure why we can't get better consistent attendance.

Not having an OCS hurts. Defensive based football isn't particularly appealing. Last week was a nasty weekend across the board (I think we can add Saturday of Halloween to the list of Thanksgiving weekend of dates teams draw poorly in non-hype games). BTW,I think a 2pm start would have helped out. Game wasn't televised. No reason to put it at a time when anyone wishing to go out would have had to choose between the game or their social schedule.
I remain very worried about USA's offense. We've scored less than 10 points against two teams, neither of whom have a winning record. We've scored over 30 in exactly 2 games. Better news was that this game didn't overly rely on long bombs. But we only scored 13 friggin' points. We are 5 points away from 1-7. We are 1:15 of fourth quarter plays from being 1-7. But we're 4-4. Feels a lot better than 1-7. But we know we're not that much better than 1-7.

It was on ESPN3. They've still got to fill those time slots.
