About 3 hours outside of hattiesburg. Best restaurants?

No chains if you don't mind.

Cajun is definitely on the itinerary.

Stinkfist's Bison Barbecue is pretty good I hear... Nice soft, supple and tender Buffalo meat... Nicely massaged and not bruised.. Roasted gingerly on the spit so as to not make the meat tough...

Their most tender platter is called the "Littony of Buffalo"...

And if you can't finish it, you get to take it home in a Stinkist doggie bag.. Customized by Stinkfist himself! Worth bucks!

Mugshots is a very good burger place and Keg and Barrel is a great place for pub food and beer.

stop it....just slop it....no nappys kneaded for that muffin bag....all that is req'd is a shirt unless you're at my house 03-wink

to be fair to goherd.....just pull off at the 59/98 intersection....the buffy wild ones are east...

all the others are west.....my recommendation at this point is head west and hit chesterfields....dial it up on your cell....~1 mile west once on 98....there are all kinds of chain restaurants before chesties.....

if you're coming in off 49, all are west.....

if you're a sushi guy....go to sakura just off hwy 49 just north of hardy/98....then take 98/hardy west to continue to 59 south

(I'm assuming things....best I can offer at this point)

hand the phone to the wife or the kids...just google the chains...it's homecoming weekend....you really can't go wrong....

if that doesn't make sense....give me more specifics....

If i had seen this earlier i would have suggested that. Other best option for seafood would be the half shell grill.

Would have also invited you by the office to say hello. I work one red light up.

Man, I miss Rocket City. Broke my heart when Burger Town closed, too. I kept a bulb from their sign until it fell and broke.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to catch up on Matlock reruns and shake my fist at some kids walking on my lawn.

yesterday, I had to tell a millennial to quit leTTTing his dog take a dump in MY yard....

good times!

then you should remember my (by too many to count) "hot blonde sister"....was her first job....

instead of being annoyed with redundancy, I would always tell 'em, "you have zero chance.....next?"

rsj and sa ended up getting too busy for the many late night card games back in the day....

great people.....equally great times...they've earned their success in every way through hard work and evolution independent of the coin their parents had.....

now, if we could transfer that ethic to the past and hope the ones we currently have aren't only looking forward to tenure....fingers are still crossed....only time will spell that one....

menu choice?

star review?

just curious....

hopefully you were treated to something that rarely fails....how you found it independent of this thread is cool.....you did good....

the only reason I didn't mention it was it's not easy to describe in text coming off I-59...even though it's easy to find....landmarks don't work in my world in congested areas...

on the way back (now that you know where CCG is....go to Tabella on the return trip....it's just a handful of parking spots due south of CCG....it's a little swankier....if you like Italiano, you won't leave disappointed....
